Soltek 75DRV4 KT266A Motherboard Review
This content was originally featured on Amdmb.com and has been converted to PC Perspective's website. Some color changes and flaws may appear.Soltek is one of the smaller of the mainboard manufacturers in the United States. While their motherboards have been available for the Athlon platform since the introduction of their KX133 motherboard, the 77KV, way back in April of 2000. Since then, we here at Amdmb.com haven’t heard from them until the release of their initial KT266 motherboard. But because the board didn’t get released until later, they held off until the KT266A chipset was ready and mature to ship me a sample of it.
Even though there sales are still low in the US, their market with the enthusiasts in the AMD market has been catching on, as is evident by the need for the additional Soltek Forum on AMDForums.com. Many people seemed to be pleased with the performance and overclocking potential that the motherboard gave them – but we will see if it can pass the Amdmb.com tests.
