When the announcement and introduction of the newer Athlon MP motherboard chipset, the AMD-760 MPX, hit us in January of 2002, there was a lot of excitement on what this new chipset was going to offer and that it may be able to bring the price of dual processor Athlons low enough for it to begin catching on in the mainstream market. However, since then, we have seen only a few of these motherboards become available, and the excitement surrounding them has faded.
The MSI K7D Master motherboard is attempting to change that by offering a motherboard that is finally going to give the Tyan line of Athlon MP boards a run for its money.
