Over the past generation of VIA chipsets, we have seen the motherboard manufacturer Gigabyte grow to become one of the more popular to retail consumers. Their Super 7 boards were top quality and stable for Socket 7 overclocking.
Gigabyte entered the Athlon motherboard world with the introduction of the GA-7IX, an AMD 750 chipset motherboard. One of the original distributors and pioneers of Athlon technology, Gigabyte received a large user base for their initial trial at allowing overclocking options to the user and keep stability at the helm.
