ECS K7VTA3 Rev2 KT266A Motherboard Review
This content was originally featured on Amdmb.com and has been converted to PC Perspective's website. Some color changes and flaws may appear.Back in August of this year, I did my first review of an Elitegroup motherboard, the ECS K7S5A motherboard that was based on the SiS 735 chipset. This board was a huge success for the company and was the stepping-stone they were looking for in order to enter the PC enthusiast market in the US and in Europe.
ECS has a very large business in the OEM market and all the big name system builders internationally know their name. However, if YOU haven’t heard of them before or read anything on their products, it wouldn’t surprise me. I think you will find that very soon ECS will be taking a large portion of the DIY market by releasing more motherboards based on a larger variety of chipsets than they have in previous years and months.
Today we are looking at the K7VTA3 Rev2 motherboard from ECS, which is based on the KT266A chipset. Here are the basic specs for the motherboard:
Socket A (200/266 MHz Support)
Bus Speed Options
3 x 184-pin DDR DRAM PC1600/PC2100 Support
2x Standard USB ports
4x Add-on USB ports
2 x ATA100 EIDE
