ECS K7S5A SiS 735 Motherboard Review

This content was originally featured on Amdmb.com and has been converted to PC Perspective’s website. Some color changes and flaws may appear.

The ECS motherboard that I am reviewing today has probably been the hardest tested board here at Amdmb.com, with the exception of the Tyan Thunder K7. The reason being, ECS and SiS have received lots of recognition from other publications for the speed and performance of this chipset and motherboard. Having had the board for a couple weeks myself, I wanted to make sure that what I found in my testing was as accurate as possible: I didn’t want to make any false claims or overlook anything.

ECS as a company has been doing very well in the Asian and European market. Just recently have they begun to try to entice the North American market with their products. Being as large as they are, ECS has a strong background in the field of PC hardware and have the recommendation of many OEMs from across both oceans. I think you will find that their good name is warranted, and that they become a common discussion in our AMD Forums very soon.
