ASUS has more than a few P55 offerings…

Even though the P55 motherboards are out and available, I happen to have had this video sitting here for a couple of days and before we can get the full board reviews ready, I decided I would share our video previews of both the P7P55D Premium and Maximus III Formula motherboards. Stop in and see how these high-end offerings from ASUS will impress you and prep you for your new Lynnfield system.
In case you somehow missed it, our Intel Lynnfield processor coverage went online earlier in the week in the form of a review of the Core i7-870 and Core i5-750.  If you haven’t given that a read you should definitely do so – I think you’ll find the performance of these new CPUs to be very impressive.  However, we are still trying to find a way to plow through all of the P55 chipset motherboards we received over the course of the last month.  I made this short video preview of a pair of ASUS boards and thought I would post it here for anyone interested in either the P7P55D Premium or Maximus III Formula offerings.

Of course, I know many of you still want the pictorial breakdown of these motherboards, so we have that for you as well.  I previously posted some images of the P7P55D Premium motherboard, so head over to that article for details on it and you can look below for the Maximus III Formula photos.

ASUS did smartly put a protective plastic tab under the CPU socket arm where it would normally contact the PCB.  This is just for safety’s sake.

Thanks for looking at these new motherboards with us and we will have full reviews of both of them very soon.  Stay tuned!
