Our Settings for Battlefield 3
Here is our testing run through the game, for your reference.
It looks like SLI is scaling pretty well for the GTX 780, even at 1920x1080, with a jump from 105 FPS to 181 FPS. Frame times are pretty consistent, staying within a 3-4 ms range for most of the test run (the light green line). Notice the gap between the GTX 680 in SLI and the GTX 780 in SLI - nearly 30%!
Nothing has changed for AMD's CrossFire configurations with the HD 7970 but the new GTX 780 in SLI again scales well with even lower frame time variance thanks to less CPU bottleneck issues.
The GTX 780 SLI results are not only faster than the GTX 680 SLI but also are much more consistent with drastically lower frame time variance in BF3 at 5760x1080. The average frame rate jumps from 40 FPS to 71 FPS by adding the second GTX 780, an increase of 77%.
