Our settings for Sleeping Dogs
For 3840x2160 testing we lowered AA to "High"
Our single GPU results show the GTX Titan to be the leader at 4K testing but not far behind it is the Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition. The two different GTX 680s are pretty close in performance but the 4GB model does have a span of advantage in the later half of our test run.
Frame times for all four single cards are consistent and reliable with no runt frames or hitches to report.
The average frame rate for the Titan is nearly 35 FPS with the HD 7970 just over 30 FPS. The GTX 680s follow up with a just over 25 FPS result.
Frame variance is incredibly low for all four cards.
Doubling up the GPU count results in the fall of the Radeon HD 7970s - the gap between our FRAPS frame rates and the observed frame rates is dramatic! As a result, the GTX Titan expands its lead at the top of the pack.
Frame times from the SLI configurations look excellent here - very narrow bands of color represent consistent frame times. Not so much for the HD 7970s in CrossFire...
The average frame rate has jumped from 35 FPS to nearly 70 FPS for the GTX Titan SLI - almost 2x scaling. The same is seen with the GeForce GTX 680s hitting 50 FPS when paired up in SLI.
Frame variance stays very low with the NVIDIA options which results in a smooth animation on screen. The same can not be said for the CrossFire setup that quickly spikes at the end of the graph.
