Crysis 3 was run at 3840x2160 with FXAA enabled and High texture settings, High presets
Our single GPU results don't show any noticeable differences between the FRAPS and capture-based results, which is good. In Crysis 3 the GTX Titan is able to maintain about 30 FPS at 3840x2160 with the other three kind of clumped up around the 25 FPS mark. The HD 7970 GHz Edition is definitely the faster option when compared to the GTX 680s though.
Frame times look good once again though only the GTX Titan is able to drop below the 30 ms time level.
NVIDIA's Titan GPU is able to hover right at 30 FPS and the HD 7970 falls to about 24 FPS. The GTX 680s, both in 2GB and 4GB frame buffers, measure in the 21-22 FPS level.
Frame variance is very low for all four cards.
As we double up our card count the GTX Titans in SLI are of course taking the dominant position, though maybe not by as much as I would have hoped. The HD 7970s in CrossFire continue to have problems with runt frames as is evident by the much lower observed frame rates. There doesn't appear to be much difference between the 2GB and 4GB GTX 680 cards in SLI mode either.
Frame times are pretty consistent for all results other than the HD 7970s in CrossFire. All cards, including the Titan and GTX 680s in SLI, have some instances of frame time spikes and hitches - nothing that completely ruins the experience though.
At 4K, the GTX Titan scales from 30 FPS to 51 FPS, a jump of 70%. The GTX 680s go from 22 FPS to 41 FPS, a jump of 86%.
Ouch, the frame time variance is off the charts for the Radeon HD 7970s in CrossFire while the three NVIDIA configurations good quite well, keeping variance under 10 ms throughout.
