ASUS Matrix Radeon HD 7970 3GB Overclocked Graphics Card Review
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Deus Ex: Human Revolution (DirectX 11)
You play Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist who's been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. Your job is to safeguard company secrets, but when a black ops team breaks in and kills the very scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes
Badly wounded during the attack, you have no choice but to become mechanically augmented and you soon find yourself chasing down leads all over the world, never knowing who you can trust. At a time when scientific advancements are turning athletes, soldiers and spies into super enhanced beings, someone is working very hard to ensure mankind's evolution follows a particular path.
You need to discover where that path lies. Because when all is said and done, the decisions you take, and the choices you make, will be the only things that can change it.

Our Settings for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Vsync Disabled
Once again you have a small advantage out of the box for the ASUS Matrix HD 7970 over the reference design in Deus Ex.

Why the disparity on Metro 2033 @ 2560x1600 with the Matrix vs the GHz Ed? 5% seems like a notable amount?
Excuse my impatience, what version of catalyst driver have you chosen for this review?
Oops, I am always leaving that out!
For the AMD GPUs we were using the Catalyst 12.11 beta and for NVIDIA we tested with 306.23.

I was about to replace my old trusty 5870 with a 7950 and now this came along. Oh well, budget was once again wiped out cause the holidays.
Is this the Ferrari of video cards?
I really like your writing style, great information, thankyou for posting : D.
I have the Matrix 7970 Platnium for about a week now. Some moderately high overclocks at 1230Mhz/7300Mhz. Using 12.11 driver, 3DMark11 score - 11160. I still have some thermal headroom, too. Here's a link to see how I progressed.

This graphic card is better than MSI GTX680 Lightning ? Will be faster for rendering things like 3D Objects in Blender, video animation, effects, etc...What will be the perfect choice, the ATI or the NVidia cards for graphic design ?
Screen captures were taken with onboard TURNO FAN MODE enabled ??
