The AMD FirePro V8800 Graphics Card

The design of the new FirePro V8800 card will also look familiar to users that have seen the Radeon HD 5000 series, though it has a couple of interesting quirks.

The stylish red and black design returns with the V8800 though the "Batmobile" look has been lessened ever so slightly.

The rear of the card is covered in a protective plate that also acts like a small heatsink for the rear PCB.

The V8800 supports CrossFire X configurations as you can see here.

Much like the Radeon HD 5870 that it was modeled after, the FirePro V8800 requires two 6-pin PCIe power connections.

The output panel includes four standard DisplayPort connections as well as the stereoscopic 3D sync connection that professional users access rather than utilizing things like 3D Vision.

In the box with the card buyers will find a pair of DisplayPort to DVI cables, though they are only passive as thus will NOT support 2560x1600 resolutions.  If you want to take advantage of those types of resolutions the professional user will either have to have a DP-ready monitor or an active DP-to-DL DVI adapter.

Thanks for this article on 'AMD FirePro V8800 Review.' It is good to know that AMD has released the first in a range of new professional graphics cards using the Evergreen GPU - the AMD FirePro V8800 2GB. Those who play games will find the specifications of it very familiar. The features such as Cypress GPU, 1600 stream processors and 825 MHz clock speed would be recognized easily by gamers. As I like checking out what type of sites are doing well, I found out that Groupon and its clone sites are causing hits around the globe.
