Hardcore gamers know the importance of quality sound when they are playing online or during gaming tournaments. Plantronics has always had their back and their new GameCom 777 headset gives them Dolby 7.1 virtual surround to add depth and clarity to their gaming experience. The GameCom 777 features a lightweight frame, noise cancelling technology, and 7.1 sound to make any movie, Skype conversation, or gaming match sound like your in a virtual surround sound theater.

This $79.99 ($109.95 MSRP) headset includes large circumaural ear pods that completely cover your ears and the padding around the cans and bridge redistribute the weight of the unit during long hours of online gaming. Another unique yet functional feature is the hideaway mic that seamlessly conceals itself in the left side of the headset.

Our review will pit these headphones against some of our favorite First Person Shooter games like Left 4 Dead 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Battlefield Bad Company 2. We used these games as our performance testing benchmarks for our last Psyko 5.1 headphone review and will discuss our overall sound experience and other pros and cons we noticed during testing.

I have used quite a few different gaming headsets but, the best resource I found to get an impartial view on them can be found at http://www.gamingheadsetreport.com, they are constantly adding new headset reviews.
