SilverStone ST45SF-G 450W SFX Form Factor PSU Review
Specifications and Packaging
The SilverStone ST45SF-G power supply is rated for a combined, continuous output power of up to 450 watts at 40°C. Unfortunately, the new Gold model has been de-rated from 50°C to 40°C, but that’s still a lot better than some less reputable manufactures who limit their power supply’s advertised capacity by specifying a lower operating temperature (25°C) in the fine print.
The PSU includes universal AC line input (automatically adjusts to the AC line voltage) and active PFC, which makes the unit more environmentally friendly to the local power grid. The SilverStone ST45SF-G PSU features a single +12V rail that can deliver up to 37A (444W) of power; almost the entire capacity of the unit.
