Seasonic X Series 750W Power Supply Review
A Detailed Look
The Seasonic X Series 750W power supply features a black matte finish with a gold accent printing. The enclosure is 160mm (6.3”) deep so it should fit in most cases and uses a single 120mm fan on the bottom for cooling.
The backside panel features an open grill and includes a power receptacle and master On-Off switch. The honey comb grill allows air to exhaust out of the power supply for cooling the internal components with minimal turbulence and noise.
The Seasonic X Series 750W features a high quality 120mm, Sanyo Denki San Ace fan (9S1212P4M61) that incorporates dual ball bearings for enhanced reliability and long life. The 7 sculptured blades are designed to optimize airflow with minimal noise. The fan features Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to integrate with the variable speed Seasonic Silent Fan Control S2FC) circuit.
One of the unique features on the X Series 750W PSU is the ability to operate in fanless-silent mode. The S2FC is designed to turn off the fan at lower power levels. As the load on the power supply increases the fan will start spinning and gradually ramp up in speed to keep all the internal components cool. The new high efficiency design of the X Series also helps by generating less waste heat.
The Seasonic X Series 750W power supply is fully modular and has an excellent assortment of cables/connectors. All of the cables are covered with a black, braided plastic mesh sleeving and measure approximately 22"~23” long (to the first connector).
