Cooler Master HAF XM Mid-Tower Enclosure Review
A Detailed Look – From the Outside (Cont’d)
Moving around to the rear of the enclosure reveals a fairly typical ATX-tower layout except the power supply is mounted at the bottom of the enclosure instead of the top. A 140mm exhaust fan comes pre-installed and there are three different openings for routing external liquid-cooling hoses in and out of the chassis.
At the bottom of the rear panel is the power supply opening for mounting a standard ATX power supply unit.
All of the expansion card brackets contain ventilation slots, which along with the slotted openings on the back, allows warm air to exhaust out the rear of the case driven by the positive internal air pressure.
Flipping the HAF XM enclosure upside down exposes four audiophile-style rubber feet. The mesh covered opening towards the back of the bottom panel allows outside case air into the power supply compartment.
