TGDaily has some interesting information on the upcoming AMD Fusion launch plans and how they have changed since we last heard from AMD on them.

Taipei (Taiwan) – AMD pushed Fusion as one of the main reasons to
justify its acquisition of ATI. Since then, AMD’s finances have changed
colors and are now deep in the red, the top management has changed, and
Fusion still isn’t anything AMD wants to discuss in detail.

Today Computex is in full swing, with a lot of things to see, and a lot of people seeing them.  Grab a fresh caffeinated

Thermaltake is showing off a very interesting case at CeBIT.  Running copper pipes all throughout the case and using a simple compressor and expansion chamber, they've created a refrigerated case!  Sure there are some problems with implementing the design, but I am very glad that they showed it to HEXUS.

While many winners of CES 2008 have been announced, Think Computers makes a strong case that ASUS won that particular horse race.  The gallery of pictures that we have seen of ASUS' booth show off a lot of new products most of which seem very interesting.  The spread of new laptops is impressive, and the improvements to SplashTop have put them a length ahead.  There are also new motherboards, sound cards and even cell phones and GPS units to be seen.  We can only hope that the enginee

Somehow the wonks at Atom Chip Corporation, makers of fine vapourware like quantum memory, managed to get recognition at CES, as if they had a real product as opposed to a questionable prototype.  While you do have to admire the moxy it took to manage that feat, it lends credence to the tales of the decline of CES that some attendees have come back with.  Drop by Slashdot for a look at the history as well as this years recognition of the accomplishments of the Atom Chip Corporation.

New Asus notebooks at CES impress, cripple

Asus had a large presence at CES this year, though they didn't have the booth size to handle it.  With all the press the Asus Eee PC has been getting, you'd have thought they'd splurge on fancy stands and booth babes! 

The products did make quite the impression though; two models in particular stood out to me.

ASE Labs made the trip through the desert to make it to CES, and they've posted their pictures from Day 3.  One of the most impressive is a 150" plasma TV from Panasonic, but they also peek at Soyo who have switched from motherboards to displays, with a little help from Honeywell.  Take a peek at their other shots here.

Instead of getting all excited about a wafer at the Intel booth, look at this picture from the Sharp display.  According to MAKE:Blog, monitors are made in a similar fashion to CPUs, with a substrate of panels all coated at the same time and then separated after.  A two by four substrate of eight 57" displays is really impressive to see.
