Head on over to watch the videos of this protective case in action, and some of you can marvel at the ground being covered in the white stuff.

With a C2D T7500 at 2.2GHz and 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, the ASUS U6S packs a fair amount of power into a 3.46lb package. One drawback to putting that much power into an ultra portable is battery life. About 2.5 hours really isn't that impressive a time for this type of machine, but those looking for a little extra power while the battery lasts may not mind at all.

The ASUS F5R Notebook uses the ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 chipset with a which supports 667MHz DDR2. The different flavours are Intel's Celeron M (Merom core), Pentium Dual-Core and Core2Duo. As far as features go, you may not need 16 levels of screen brightness but it does make sure you can't complain about choices, and the touchpad can be used as a simple calculator. Head to X-bit Labs to see how this office oriented laptop fares against the ASUS X51R.

NZXT's Cryo LX Notebook Cooler is built like a tank, has four USB ports and three adjustable 120mm fans. It is designed for 17" to 19" laptops, and thanks to NZXT putting some thought into how the airflow would behave it should cool any notebook that fits on it. Although their ears weren't too happy with teh cooler, even at low speed, Big Bruin did find that this cooler works as advertised, and the one place they could find it for sale was onl

This has got to be one of the weakest news "sources" I have ever seen: a report from a guy that got a message from resellers from a Lenovo rep. But hey, it sounds good, right? The rumor speaks that Intel's 45nm Penryn-based chips are seeing some delays - and this is not the first time we've heard of this - and that notebook vendors worldwide are in for a swift kick in the ass from customers.

If you have been curious about the lack of Santa Rosa-based platform notebooks recently, part of it might be the upcoming Montevina platform's fault. According to this story, with the launch of Montevina, and the updated Intel processors for it, coming in in May, some vendors are planning on by-passing the refresh launched just this January.
There are a TON of CPUs set to be unveiled for Montevina including some that go as low as 10 watts TDP!

The new mobile Penryn processors didn't gain an incredible amount of speed or power along with their die shrink, in fact they use less power which should translate into longer battery life. AnandTech had the chance to test this theory and it turns out to be true. The added time you can expect does depend on your chosen application, but the lowest increase AnandTech saw was a gain of 23 minutes in Reader 2007. You even get a boost in the benchmarks they ran to make the deal even more a
