The Zotac ZBOX CI540 Nano is a bit more powerful than your average Bay Trail based mini-PC, it sports a Haswell based dual core i5-4210Y which runs between 1.5-1.9GHz and has Intel's HD4200 onboard. This won't play AC:Unity but comes close to matching a NUC containing a Core i5-4250U, you give up a bit of horsepower for completely silent operation and for media it sports enough power to watch your favourite videos. As you look at Silent PC Reviews' article you can see the honeycomb patterned knockouts on the casing to allow heat to dissipate and to let in liquid if you don't put some thought into where you are going to place the ZBOX. It does have Bluetooth and there is an unofficial optional IR receiver that can be used to make it easy to place this tiny computer in a safe place.
"The Zotac ZBOX CI540 Nano gives up a little CPU/GPU horsepower to deliver a completely fanless, silent and full-featured mini-PC experience."

I’m so frustrated by the fact
I’m so frustrated by the fact that these kind of devices almost always have only 1 ethernet port.
This thing would make a great home server if it had 2. I don’t hoard… Linux ISOs, so I don’t need a big server with a million hard drive bays.
How much horsepower loss are
How much horsepower loss are we talking bout? Is this one of those ultra low power i5’s that are less powerful than a desktop Pentium (current gen of-course) but only get the i5 moniker because it’s the second best possible for that power envelope on that architecture, or is this actually a good processor. If it’s one of those cases that it’s a low power cpu with a fancy name, no thanks. If It’s no more powerful than a table, well there are better processors for that job aren’t there?
>”This won’t play AssAssIn
>”This won’t play AssAssIn Crap Ufaulty”
LOL, like anyone out there ever would give a jack about that trash. People who buy boxes like these, mainly use them for emulators of older platforms and as HTPCs. Nobody (and I literally mean NO ONE) who’s in their sane mind would ever look at this and think “hmmm, if it won’t play recent pseudo-AAA garbage from Ubishit/Electronic Farts/Autismvision – I won’t buy it”.
This thing is a perfect “older platforms and retro consoles” emulator machine, you’ll have to be completely brainless to actually in all seriousness try and play something like Geralt 3 on it.
Thanks for the clarification.
Thanks for the clarification. I, and presumably ALL PCPer readers took Jeremy’s light hearted reference to the old joke, “but will it run Crysis” as literal and was completely bummed out to the point of contemplating suicide over this machines inability to play a specific game I was previously only vaguely aware of.
Drop it, kiddo.

I need a gsync capable vesa mountable zbox.
And a gsync capable 34″ 21:9 100+hz monitor with a free vesa mount on the back…
