It isn't just a look at how quickly the encryption was broken, and the extra usage that gave people, but also the use it is put to. Most consumers don't want to think about buying an external hard drive to do their backups on, they burn it to CD or DVD. With the growing size of every file and the growing number of files the average user has, Blu-Ray may be the perfect answer.
