AMD has offered no shortage of choice with Socket AM-2 offerings.  From the Sempron 3000+ 1.60GHz with a 256KB Cache at $75.00 to the top of the line Athlon 64 FX-62 Dual Core Processor, running at 2.8GHz, with a pair of 1MB caches, and a 1GHz Bus for $1,031, both available at Monarch Computers!  Even the mid priced Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (2* 1MB Cache, running at 2.2 GHz) for $460.00 will get you running DDR2 in style.

Pricegrabber also has a choice of 2 AM-2 motherboards, the GIGABYTE GA-M51GM-S2G nForce 430 and the Biostar Group BIOSTAR TForce 6100, in a micro-ATX form factor, both for about $80.
