Is LPT still being used?

According to the Gigabyte manual for this board, we're looking at a really retro board. It includes one LPT port, one COM port, a separate PS2 port each for mouse and keyboard, etc. Looks like it's intended for installations using old technology for peripherals, but that want an updated CPU.

I feel like wanting that board for the LPT port. Other ports don't have much use for me. Maybe the COM/Serial port for the retro I/O devices or Lab Research/Robotic devices.
