While a lot of notebooks are being announced today featuring the latest Core 2 Duo mobile CPU (which we reviewed here), but the one that jumps out to me is the Dell XPS M1710 with the Core 2 Duo announced by Dell today.
Of course this shouldn't really be a surprise to many of you since we put a Core 2 Duo into a XPS M1710 almost 1 month ago and found that it worked nearly flawlessly. Core 2 Duo CPUs will be available for the XPS M1210, M1710, M2010, Inspiron E1705, and Precision M90 and M65 desktops.
Effective immediately, customers can purchase the following systems with Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors:
Dell Precision M90
Dell Precision M65
Customers will be able to configure the Inspiron E1505 and E1405 with Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors later this week, and the Latitude D820, D620, and D520 beginning next week."

- Samsung presents a 17" notebook sans battery. Does this mean you have to reboot each time you unplug? Could be an annoyance.
- Mac-heads want their Core 2 Duo too.
- Lastly, I want one of these to protect my laptop.
