Dell Offers Core 2 Duo XPS M1710

While a lot of notebooks are being announced today featuring the latest Core 2 Duo mobile CPU (which we reviewed here), but the one that jumps out to me is the Dell XPS M1710 with the Core 2 Duo announced by Dell today.
Of course this shouldn't really be a surprise to many of you since we put a Core 2 Duo into a XPS M1710 almost 1 month ago and found that it worked nearly flawlessly. Core 2 Duo CPUs will be available for the XPS M1210, M1710, M2010, Inspiron E1705, and Precision M90 and M65 desktops.

Customers will be able to configure the Inspiron E1505 and E1405 with Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors later this week, and the Latitude D820, D620, and D520 beginning next week."
- Notebook Review takes a look at the Alienware Area-51 with a Core 2 Duo T7600. Be warned, they're using a Pentium M as comparison.
- Samsung presents a 17" notebook sans battery. Does this mean you have to reboot each time you unplug? Could be an annoyance.
- Mac-heads want their Core 2 Duo too.
- Lastly, I want one of these to protect my laptop.
