ASUS has announced their ZenPad 8.0 Series of tablets, and these feature some proprietary visual enhancements to give their screens more contrast and vivid color:

- ASUS Tru2Life (contrast and sharpness enhancement) technology

Well at least these tablet’s
Well at least these tablet’s SOCs have one thing going for them, they are not using Intel graphics. And when AMD ZEN based SOCs hit the market ASUS could have a Tablet with even better graphics, Zen, or K12 for that matter. I hear that K12 may just have SMT capabilities baked in, and Jim Keller’s K12 design team is borrowing heavily from Zen’s design metrics with its custom K12 ARMv8a ISA based custom microarchitecture. Now ASUS get some tablet SKUs that come with full Linux, and some people may just be interested.
