Ars Technica examines the Lenovo ThinkPad T61, the HP Pavilion dv6500t , Sony's VAIO VGN-FZ180 and the Toshiba Satellite A205-S4617, all priced between $1,200 to $1,400, if you don't count the Blu-Ray player on the Sony. They rate the laptops on a number of different areas, focusing more on portability and productivity than gaming, which is a good thing in the case of the Toshiba.
