The Patriot Memory PDC22G8000+XBLK DDR-2 is designed specifically to run at different speeds depending on the CAS latency you choose, and that is before you start tweaking for the best OC. Add to that the fact that it performs well at all the speeds it is rated for, this is a really well designed DIMM. The only bad news is that PC Stats got a sneak peek at them, you can't actually but them yet.
"" What sets this pair of PC2-8000 DDR2 memory apart from the competition is that it's capable of
three different frequency & timings settings. Patriot Memory's PDC22G8000+XBLK DDR-2 is rated for
a CAS Latency of 3 at DDR2-667 speeds, CAS 4 at DDR2-800 speeds, and to reach DDR2-1000 speeds a
CAS Latency of 5. This pair of RAM is so utterly new, so bleeding edge that you can't get them
yet... so consider this your sneak peak! ""
