With no less that 25 English reviews of the 2900XT, and the R600/2000 series in general, this launch is one of the most watched out for in a long time.  Start off with The Tech Report’s review, which starts out with a look at the architecture used to bring this new generation of video cards to life.  Looking at the power consumption and noise, you see some rather impressively high figures pushing a single card above 8800’s in SLI.  Unfortunately the performance seems to be around the 8800GTS mark, but at an MSRP of $399, it isn’t a terrible value.
