The Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 is essentially a VCR with a twist.  Hook it up to your cable, exactly like you would a VCR.  It will record MPEG-4s of whatever channel you are on, giving you a choice of 4 resolutions.  Once you've recorded, either plug into a PC for transfer to an iPOD, or a memory stick for PSP.  XYZ Computing can tell you all about it.

Putting bacteria to good use

The Inquirer has linked to the research of Prof. Renugopalakrishnan, who is doing some very interesting work with bacteria.  If you can handle the idea of literal bugs in your data, these disks will store a lot.  I wonder if as a side benefit, they will eat the crumbs and lint that always seem to end up in jewel cases.

An illuminating typing experience

The Revoltec Lightboard advanced has a lot going for it.  It has fairly well thought out key placement, and overall attractive look, and it glows at the touch of a button.  The lights use barely any power, so the only connector is the USB cable you would expect to see.  Drop by Hi-Tech Reviews for a closer look.
