The Inquirer caught an odd error on the newly greened ATI website ... 3 of 4 special computer deals have Core 2 Duo inside them.  While you are checking that out take a look at the newly redesigned ATI website, they've done a good job at not moving the Driver section and other often visited areas.

Before you scoff, it's made by Behringer who have a good reputation in the audio industry.  They aren't the best of the best, but they are affordable.  The FCA202 allows you to get good quality audio out of a laptop, although it does use the rare 6 pin Firewire to connect.  DriverHeaven gives you some background in audio terminology before moving on to review this external soundcard.

Tweaknews grabbed the 'early' release of Firefox 2.0, and has already published a tweak guideMozilla's response to the early release can be found here, they are asking people to refrain from downloading directly from the ftp site, as it could cause voluntary mirror sites to be not so willing to participate in the future.

So for now, read the Tweak Guide, it's only a few hours 'till the release.

FireFox 2.0 is supposed to be released tomorrow, but the sharp eyes at [H]ard|OCP have spotted what looks like an early release.  Nothing on the main firefox page mentions it, but if you can't wait for a non-RC FireFox any longer you can try out the download.

Cloak of microwave invisibility

Wired News has an article on the sort of-invisibility cloak that has just recently been created.  While being invisible to microwaves may not seem to impressive, I want to find out what would happen if you wrapped a fork in the cloak and then microwaved it.

The final version of IE 7 appears

CNET has a lot of links to reviews and downloads of the just released IE 7.  As long as you have Windows XP or Server 2003, you can update and try out the newest incarnation of this browser.  On the other hand, there has already been a vulnerability revealed, which can disclose personal information on websites with mhtml: URL handlers.

It's quite a mouthful, but Intel's WPAN is kind of like Bluetooth on steroids.  You get 480Mbps at a range of 10 meters or less, but no further, and Intel refers to it as wireless USB.  Tweaktown can give you more from the demo at IDF Taiwan.
