As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift last weekend to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0". I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.
But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!! Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...
The fifth set of prizes is a pair of Thermaltake Max 5G USB 3.0 external hard drive enclosures!
It has lights, it has fans AND it runs at USB 3.0 speeds. What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?
Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking Thermaltake for its sponsorship of PC Perspective as well as your plans for using such a cool USB 3.0 external drive dock. What other features would you like to see on external enclosures like this?
You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!
We will pick the winners tomorrow and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices. Good luck and thanks for reading!!

thanks Thermaltake for sponsoring PC Perspective! family photos and movies drive! a display showing used and unused space on the drive would be cool...
Thanks Thermaltake and PC Perspective for hosting this great contest. At USB 3 speeds this will be a great addition to my upcoming WHS 2011 build for back up. Adjustable LED brightness and maybe different color choices would be neat.
Dear Thermaltake,
Thank you for sponsoring PC Perspective!
Love,
Me
P.S. I would use it to back up my windows home server.
Awesome! Thanks Thermaltake!
That would be sweet! Thanks Thermaltake!
Thanks Thermaltake and keep up the good work PCPER.
About time to get a pogoplug.
Have you thought about adding a USB hub?
Thanks again
Frank
Thanks again!
I would really love to see some sort of LED display that shows important data like available space, and/or benchmarks.
Looks like a nice product Thermaltake.
Something anyone could use.
Thanks PCPer for all the computer and related information
you provide to the internet community.
Just have to say that you're doing a great job supporting PCPer! Keep up the awesome and reel-in the love Thermaltake!
A Super back-up of all of my desktops, laptops, and anything else I can cram into the thing... maybe even cookies!
You never know.
Thank you Thermaltake for being as awesome as you are! Looks like a perfect place to back up all my games and movies that I don't want resting inside my PC!
Thanks to thermaltake for supporting hte site, i'm loving the new layout fellas!
I will be using it for backup on my soon to be new WHS2011 box
It looks more like a fancy fan with bluer lights behind to cool and soothe you when it is on. I would add firewire connection so Apple users can use it as a boot drive.
Thanks Thermaltake! Any chance the lights can be turned off?
YAY THERMALTAKE!!!
Movies and TV seasons up the wazoo.
An external enclosure that looks awesome horizontal and vertical. I current have one external, and it looks stupid when I lay it horizontal, but it doesn't fit under the shelf I keep my monitor on when its upright.
Thanks Thermaltake for sponsor PC Perspective. This external drive enclosure will be connected to my media player. I'll have lots of hours of movie and series action!
Thanx for supporting PC Perspective and this would make a perfect NAS for my home PC network!
thanks TT. it would be make my desk look high tech and allow me to backup all my files.
OMG I want this so bad! DUAL fans with LEDs? My external hard drive is like my shrine. The terabyte of all of the movies, music, documents, game files, schoolwork and install files I have accumulated over years. It's like the digital DNA chronicle of my life. It is without exception the first thing I would take if there were a fire or tornado. In case of emergencies (I live in twister-town Texas!) I need SPEED as the worst storms seem to come with little warning, so I don't have time to sit and back up my drive at a slow speed--my new motherboard's USB 3.0 is what I need! Only thing that could make this better (I know this blasphemous) is eSATA support, since my laptop has eSATA but not USB 3.0 (but let's be real, I want the USB3!)
So thanks so much Thermaltake and PC Perspective, I really hope you'll choose me :)
Cool :) Thanks Thermaltake!
would be awesome to finally be able to back up all my data rather than just pertinent stuff!!
A big thank you to Thermaltake for another awesome prize. This would be cool to have when I'm working on friends and family members computers.
Thanks Thermalake, hopefully this will sit next to my soon to be new computer and back up all my data that was almost lost on my last PC crash.
Great Site.
Just bought the thermaltake v1 cooler...awesome. ...Thermaltake are the biz...thanks guys
Thanks ThermalTake, for supporting and sponsoring PCPer. I'd probably use this to expand my library of books, music, movies, and various entertainment paraphernalia.
Thanks for the sponsorship of PcPer. Maybe a couple more drive bays and Ethernet for NAS option. But keep the price the same :p
Thank you very much, Thermaltake, for such a great gift. (:
I would use it as portable HDD for movies to watch on TV, or to share some large files with friends and carry them all around. Thank you once again.
Thanks Thermaltake for your support. I will use the portable HDD for backups. I would love to see an external enclosure with an additional outside dock for quick access to a hard drive sitting around.
Thanks for sponsoring PC Perspective, I love your products! If I were to win I would use the case to put my old hard drive in and get the files I need off it and then use it to hold all of my projects from school. I would also back up all my music and programs on it as well.
Thanks Thermaltake! for sponsoring PCPer you guys are awesome!
Thanks for sponsoring PC Perspective. Faster backups would result in my winning this.
