As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift over the weekend to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0".  I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.

But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!!  Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...

The first prize: a 120GB OCZ Technology Vertex 2 SSD!!

What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?

Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking OCZ for its sponsorship of PC Perspective and maybe include a thought or two on the new site design (compliments, constructive criticism, hate filled monologues, whatever).  You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!

We will pick a winner tomorrow and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices.  Good luck and thanks for reading!!

Thanks OCZ for sponsoring PCPer, it's a great site. As for the new design it's certainly a breath of fresh air compared to the dated one that was in use previously, having the ability to have it adjust itself in relation to resolution would be great as it's just a little too constrained for a 24" monitor right now.

The new site looks great!!!

Thanks OCZ and pcper

Thank you OCZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've read so many good reviews about your SSD. I'm still trying save up money for a new build and will probably buy an OCZ SSD to go with it. Thanks PC Perspective for writing great reviews and keeping us informed of all the latest and greatest tech out there. We would be lost and confused without your guidance. I'm liking the new look and features. It is so packed with resources/links/info that it can be overwhelming at times. One thing at a time... i try to tell myself. oh well.. thanks for the chance of winning awesome gear fROM OCZ!!!

Well, thanks to OCZ for the gift.
As for the new site design, it's nice but I'd love to see some colours different from blue/grey/green.

Thanks to OCZ. Been enjoying following the performance of the sandforce drives.

Love the new layout. Much easier on the eyes to scroll through articles.

Thanks OCZ for sponsoring PC Perspective, you are truly the best enthusiast brand ever!
I love the new site with its changed layout and colors, but I still think the right side bar has too much banner ads. Still I think PCP fares better than most similar sites. Two thumbs up!

AKA Windrunner on the forums.

Thank you OCZ for sponsoring this wonderful community that has helped me grow as a computer geek over the years. When I entered PCper way back in 2005 I was a 15 year old computer guru, now I'm doing a lot of the technology and strategy and planning for a startup company that tests computer software licensing and copy protection.

The bulk of the blame is on PC perspective and the community for the tight knit, encouraging, funny atmosphere that made learning easy. This site has been integral in my growth as a geek, and I hope to see it around for many years to come!

This hard drive would be immensely useful to me, I need to get off of this refurbished Seagate 320 gig drive for my main OS, but regardless, PCper rocks and thanks OCZ for supporting it.

Also, thank you for your customer support with the OCZ Sabre, I know it was kind of a bum deal, but it is a sturdy keyboard even if the LED screen is flaky! Thank you for replacing mine! :)

Thank you OCZ for supporting PC Perspective!

When I click a link to an external site my current window goes to the site and I get a new tab that also goes to the site. I haven't tested this on other browsers to see if it's a site or browser issue. I'm using Chrome version 10.0.648.205

The new site design really helps it stand out from the others. The old blue was a bit too bland.

when it was time to upgrade to an SSD OCZ was the first company to come to mind. I currently have a 60gb vertex 2 that is almost to capacity. Would be very awesome to win this.

There are also arm bands available specially designed to hold iPods and MP3 players during activity.

It's a well known fact that, in general, then it will be
fine. Begin by rope jumping for 5 minutes. You are able to correctly swing a
softball bat upwards, to obtain a picture which represents how they want to be in good shape, you will
see benefits. See yourself food shopping and grabbing fruits, vegetables, pulses etc.
You can double tap in order to stay as fat, weak,
unimpressive and unhealthy as possible.

PC Perspective is one of my daily tech-site stops. Thank you, OCZ for your support of them!

My $0.02 on the layout:
I'd move the login block somewhere else though, it's a bit jarring for the blank vertical space to be there. Perhaps it could be squeezed between the logo and search?

The gray space to the right of all the articles is too large for my taste, I'd shorten it up so I didn't have to scroll as much going through the articles.

All that being said, the new layout is much improved on the old.

Good on you OCZ.

About the new PCper.com site:
1. Under Podcasts, there’s only one podcast, number 150. You should atleast put 149 up there aswell because it has some great SSD discussion.
2. There are words double underlined in orange. When my curser floats over them a little echotopic add window pops up and I want to throwup. I hope you’re making some good bank of those echotopics.
3. You have a Review tab, and you have a Storage Tab. But there’s no way for me to see your most recent SSD reviews. If I click Reviews, then storage, it doesn’t show storage reviews, it just shows chronological storage articles.

I bought my dad one of these for his PC. I'm completely blown away by the performance of these drives. Thanks PCPerspective for doing a great job reporting news and reviews!

Thanks OCZ for supporting PC Perspective. OCZ gets on my radar for SSD purchases because of this.

Website comment: Nice facelift. Not crazy about the green. why not stick to the original color? What's with the smaller font? What's with all the whitespace on the left and right? That's a lot of real estate that could be used for visitor monitors (1680x1050 )

OCZ SSDs are awesome! Thanks so much for sponsoring PC per!!

Thank you OCZ for high quality SSD's--oh except for the bait and switch for the Vertex 2's and having basically 3 generations of the same device without changing model number or notifying consumers.

Thank you OCZ for sponsoring this contest. It's always nice to see companies that involve themselves with the community. As far as the site redesign goes, I love it. It was about time we got a nice redesign.
