As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift over the weekend to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0".  I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.

But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!!  Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...

The first prize: a 120GB OCZ Technology Vertex 2 SSD!!

What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?

Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking OCZ for its sponsorship of PC Perspective and maybe include a thought or two on the new site design (compliments, constructive criticism, hate filled monologues, whatever).  You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!

We will pick a winner tomorrow and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices.  Good luck and thanks for reading!!

Thanks for being awesome OCZ! The new website's great too, except that middle clicking to open in a new tab also opens in the current tab on outbound links.

Dear OCZ,
Thanks for being a sponsor! Any company that sponsors PC Per gets a first look from me for future purchases!

First, thanks to OCZ for continued sponsorship and producing quality products. Second, tanks PCPer for helping me stay up to date on the world of PC tech. And Third, i'm still finding issues with the new design using FF4, particularly when viewing a few articles that are squeezed into one narrow column down the right-middle of the page.

Thanks OCZ.

The new site format is busy; it seems cramped.

A big thank you to OCZ for providing this SSD for the giveaway and for supporting one of my most visited hardware sites. I have long been lusting after a Vertex SSD due to the economy have failed to put one on the budget.

A well deserved thanks also goes to PcPerspective for being a great source of information all these years. The redesign puts a better emphasis on your own content (generated by you) which is what I'm usually here for. The color scheme adds some much needed spice which maintaining a professional yet edgy complexion.

Keep up the good work fellas and good luck to everyone else entering the giveaway.

Thank you OCZ for supporting one of the top hardware sites on the net. And to the PCPer Crew, you guys rock. You are one of only 3 hardware sites that I trust when I am about to spend *MY* money.

As for the site redesign, well, normally I'd be grumpy and mumble about why change something that was already good enough (sorry, I am over 30), but I have spent a little time looking around and I think it works pretty good and looks good too.

One request, someone light a fire under Allyn and get him to update the SSD decoder, pretty please?!

Lol I'll let him know! :D

Perhaps a little less green?

Good to see OCZ supporting the tech press and I'd especially like to thank them for sponsoring my favorite tech review site (the source of the most humorous and informative PCPer podcast. :)

This OCZ SSD would sure look nice sitting in my upcoming new AMD Bulldozer machine :D. I'm an SSD convert ever since installing a smaller 32G unit into my current Q6600 machine and would never go back to a spinning hard drive for the OS. The machine's much snappier now so I can only imagine what a much faster SSD like a Vertex2 would do.

Love the new site look. Really clean and easy to navigate.

Thanks guys,
mugginz.

I like the new site, its seems clear and more dynamic than the previous one. And for some odd reason i like the color scheme too.

Wow this new style is amazing! A definite thanks is in very much due to OCZ for their fantastic sponsorship of PCPer. I am in need of a new or at least upgraded SSD, as I've been using the same one for many years. By the way, please keep this color scheme in addition to the layout of things as I'm really liking it.
