As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift over the weekend to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0". I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.
But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!! Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...
The first prize: a 120GB OCZ Technology Vertex 2 SSD!!
What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?
Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking OCZ for its sponsorship of PC Perspective and maybe include a thought or two on the new site design (compliments, constructive criticism, hate filled monologues, whatever). You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!
We will pick a winner tomorrow and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices. Good luck and thanks for reading!!

OCZ, Serious thanks for sponsoring PC Perspective -- this is a great tech website, and as OCZ knows PCPer provides the best reviews on storage (don't ask Allyn though :) )...
As for PCPer v4.. first thought was.. wow.. bright green.. almost like the ANSI/BBS days green.. not bad though.. next thought was.. not the friendliest website for phone/tablet browsing when running in full browser mode.. I think the 'look' is great, but the formatting could still use a little work.. a little bit wide even for 1280 wide displays when viewing under firefox...
Thanks again OCZ for your continued sponsership of PCPER. I have never used a SSD before but I would love to be able to try one out.
As always, love the podcast and enjoy the new website. Its going to take a few weeks to get used to where everything is, but overall looks like a nice improvement.
Thanks OCZ, awesome giveaway for a great site. love the new design.
Thank you OCZ for its sponsorship of PC Perspective
I love the site design
wow :D
fantastic new layout, the new entry menu is great :D
however the quality of pictures used in homepage is poor, at least for me... they pixelized here, and appears seems like no AA O_O
hahahha
congrats, man.
Thanks OCZ for supporting PCPer. there site is much nicer now and easier to navigate. the only thing that i am not much of a fan of is on the front page. where everything cycles through the first 5 new feeds. it could just be me not liking change.
Thanks OCZ. Hope I win!
The new colour pallete is rather pleasing and has definitely improved my performance when browsing the site (but not in the bedroom ). My eye floats around the page menu structure with consumate ease. The rounded corners help prevent injuries. I feel invigorated after visiting.
The rumours are true, I have had a mini love affair with OCZ products. It started many years ago with memory modules. ALL HAIL REAPER! After Allyn's thumbs up for the Vertex2 SSD's I bought quite a few. Love the little blighters. I've also spec'd a few machines with RevoDrives for when SATA is just not enough. I applaud OCZ's efforts in pushing forward on the SSD front and would like to thank them for helping PCPer do what they do so well.
We're done here.
Thank you OCZ for sponsoring PC Per! The site looks fantastic
Thank you OCZ for sponsering pcper.com. I'm on here frequently and love the new layout. Until I find any quirks, two thumbs up.
Thanks OCZ for your excellent sponsorship of PC Perspective!
This new site design is very slick, and is a great pay off for sponsors as it should attract more users and retain regular readers!
Sweet! Thanks OCZ! I'm glad that you recognize, and support, a quality site.
As for PCPer v4.0, well...
It's not that I dislike it. It's just that I come here for content. I could honestly care less what it "looks like".
The use of Flash is disappointing. Give me a basic page with no animations, no "on-event"-type scripts, black text on white background, and photos/logos/advertising (an understandable necessity) in static images any day. This comment isn't contrary to my "care less what it looks like" comment, but has more to do with the various computers/devices that I use for viewing web sites. A simplified "interface" makes it more consistent across platforms, and doesn't have as great an impact on battery life for mobile devices.
Thanks OCZ for the support of pcper.com. Love the new site design, good luck to Ryan and crew.
Thanks, OCZ! The new PCPer site is quite nice.
OCZ is an interesting company. I grew up using only Asus, Intel, Kingston, and Western Digital parts. Lately I've had some experiences with OCZ parts and like what I have seen thus far. Thank you OCZ for sponsoring PCper. The old site was looking klunky and old. I'll be coming to PCper for the more than just the Hardware leader board and SSD decoder ring now.
Thank you OCZ, OCZ has been making great products for a long time.
Good to see OCZ sponsoring Perspective. I have 60gb Vertex II's in my notebooks. Now if I only had one for my desktop computer. I am an OCZ fanboy!
Thanks OCZ for supporting such a great website. I love the new site and was just thinking about how bad the design was (sorry Ryan) and then I get a tweet that it has a new design. So thanks OCZ!
Hats off to OCZ for their progression in the SSD market. It's great to see a company their size successfully compete against the giant that is Intel.
As far as the new site goes - the layout is great, the new color scheme and graphics looks modern. My only complaint is that i was not able to log into my old PCPer account and had to create a new one. It would be great to put a note by the login that lets people know they need a new account.
I don't think OCZ could have sponsored a better a website.
As for the design, its nice to see you guys join the 21st century.
It is just outstanding for OCZ to help websites like PC Perspective. It is rare that you find such a good site that stays as up-to-date as it can, while giving good quality information. Thank you OCZ for your excellent products and for sponsoring PCPer!
Wow thanks OCZ for Sponsoring PC Perspective, this is an awesome drive. It would go great in the new rig I'm building. The colors on the site seem a little muted to me, I much prefer bright spring like colors.
Really thankful OCZ sponsors great sites like this one so I can enjoy all the tech reports. So much appreciated OCZ. P.S. The site looks good find it easier to find things. It simplifies things quite a bit. Keep up the good work and also love the Podcast.
Just RMA'd an OCZ Agility. OCZ did a wonderful job in helping me out. Kudos for supporting PCPer. I'll have to get used to the site refresh. Looks like a good change. Keep up the great work.
Nice prize, that, juts what i new, a 120gb ssd :-) The new site is Cool, new some 'get used to' but look pretty clean and more modern
Thank you for your sponsorship of PC Perspective!
Way to go OCZ!!!
Thanks for supporting PCPer. Like the new site, but I don't really like the 1-5 buttons blocking the picture inside of the news feed slideshow. Keep up the great work!
I love OCZ products.
I won't suck up just because there's a free prize at stake. The 25nm bait & switch along with past practices has really turned off some people, but I will give a good nod to that practice hopefully ending if the Anand article is to be believed (with part number alterations to reflect nand variations).
Hopefully lesson learned, as I do have 3 barefoot vertex first gens still going. Thanks for supporting pcper, lets just keep a level head about things around here.
Thank you, OCZ Technology, for your sponsorship of PCPer. Your help makes the site a great resource!
