As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift recently to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0". I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.
But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!! Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...
The sixth prize is truly a killer motherboard, the ASUS Maximus IV Extreme P67 B3!
This motherboard from ASUS has just about anything an enthusiast could ask for including:
- ROG Connect: Plug and Overclock - Tweak it the hardcore way!
- ROG iDirect : Tune your PC from your iPhone or iPad now!
- RC Bluetooth: Smashes through all the barriers of conventional overclocking!
- Extreme Engine Digi+: Smashes through all the barriers of conventional overclocking!
- USB BIOS Flashback: Refresh the BIOS can never be that easy
How can you win this wonderful piece of engineering that currently sells for more than $360???
Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking ASUS for its sponsorship of PC Perspective as well as any ideas you have for the NEXT super-motherboard. What other features would you like to see from ASUS?
You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!
We will pick the winners soon and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices. Good luck and thanks for reading!!

Thanks asus, you have the best motherboards on the planet
Thanks Asus! Been a fan of your products for a long time, it's nice to see you sponsoring the team at PCPer.
Asus has done a great job making the front panel connections easier to work with, which is a complaint I have with other manufacturers. One thing I would like to see is a more powerful onboard video chip for higher end ultra low profile HTPC's. Even if it means another onboard (3rd party maybe) fan, that's tolerable.
Thanking ASUS for sponsoring PC Perspective
Just completed my first of three dyi builds and loved your Rampage III Extreme LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard, super easy and really all I had hoped it would be.
Thank you Asus for sponsoring PC Perspective! I'm a long time fan. Only thing I would add is more cowbell.
Thanks ASUS for sponsoring PC Perspective.
This is an incredible piece of hardware, not sure how you could improve upon it.
ASUS please support this site and the podcast. Thank you Asus.
Thanks to ASUS for its sponsorship of PC Perspective! This is unbeleivable to me that a ROG certified Asus board would be up for grabs!OMG this is a Dream board that anyone would love to have especially myself! Its certainally not something I could easily afford because my finances are very very limited to this is a blessing just to get a chance just a chance to be able to win this! Thanks so much for the oppurtunity PC Perspective and Asus for their contribution!
I agree with some of the other post wireless capabilities but I have to say its hard to improve on Asus because they are always at the forefront of the best technolgy and being an Asus fan this is just a treat to have a chance to own this board,I own other asus boards but ROG certified they are not and I would like to be a part of that club! Good luck everyone!
A big shout-out to ASUS for sponsoring PC Perspective! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
What would I like to see? Better PCIe x16 spacing for Tri-SLI/CrossFire. Also, a completely legacy-free board -- no PS/2, no PCI.
Huge thanks to ASUS for supporting PCPer! This may be a personal preference, but no sideways-facing SATA ports! :)
A wonderful product from ASUS, even by just looking at its picture. Genius design of allocating two memory slots on the left side of the CPU. If only two memory sticks are inserted in the two slots, any CPU cooler and the chassis fan can vent the heat generated by the memory out right away. Thanks ASUS for bring this exciting motherboard to PC Perspective and PCPers.
Asus thanks for the sponsorship of Pcper. Ive been waiting for the new z68 boards for my new build but when i see boards like this it really makes me want to build my new computer now. For Future motherboards i think maybe getting rid of the ps/2 connector..i know i know that there may be somone still out there using one but i cant imagine anyone who is looking into a new motherboard isnt using a usb mouse or keyboard. Maybe im wrong but just my opinion. Another thing Sata ports. now i know 4-6 for most people is fine but with a couple dvd/blue ray drive and a couple hardrive/ssd it really sucks to have to go out and buy a pci express card. But then again how many people are like me wanting to have my editing/ gaming rig double as a Nas/ HTPC with 12TB of bluray content ?
Thank you ASUS for sponsoring PC Per and for making this GREAT giveaway today possible! Got my fingers crossed for this one. Love the 4.0 site revision, and it get's better everyday. Great job PC Per team!
Thanks to ASUS for its sponsorship of PC Perspective.
For each top motherboard I want a cloth sweaty hands because of emotion! :)).
ASUS, thanks for sponsoring PCPer. I don't think I've got any suggestions for features. My existing 2 year old board was good at the time, but this has so many new features that I just can't add anything to the list.
Thanks Asus!
Now lets get some thunderbolt tech under this piece...please!
Thank you Asus! I love this website and it's great to see them being supported by a company like Asus.
Thank you ASUS for sponsoring PC Perspective.
I have great esteem for Asus and I trust their products, I could never compare the facilities of my P5KPL-VM with this monster, go Asus!
Thanks ASUS !!
Good on you Asus for sponsoring PCper.com.
I like it when the SATA ports aren't blocked by the case.
Thanks to ASUS for its sponsorship of PC Perspective.
I got dizzy when I saw it! It is gorgeous and I want to make a gift to my friend ... I wonder, what do you think he will say?
Awesome mobo, thanks Asus.
I think a dual-bios switch similar to what AMD has on the Radeon 69XX series would be cool.
Thank you ASUS for supporting PCPer. I would love to see 2 more DIMM slots on this motherboard.a
Count me in!
Thanks ASUS for sponsorship of PC Perspective!
For the spearhead of motherboards in overclocking market is hard to come up with proposals. From my point of view the result of the effort is appreciated!
Asus rocks, and I am very grateful they support sites like PCPer! I think multi-gpu integrated graphics could be pretty awesome, running in SLI with enough outputs for three or four monitors, that would be sweet!
Thank you ASUS for sponsoring PC Perspective. I have used your MB's for years and love them.
I think a built in 75gig SSD would be an awesome idea.
Thank you Asus!
Thank you PC Perspective!
By the way, you can deploy a graphical interface to simulate the change of various values, because only the numeric display is really boring!
Thank you Asus and PC Perspective for this great innitiative!
A motherboard with everything you have/don't need.
Satisfy any claim - know the phrase:
"Mirror, mirror on the wall...
who's the strongest in the world".
Thanks Asus,I'm a fan of your products. How about a USB powered beer cozy?
Thanks ASUS for sponsorship of PC Perspective!
For good visibility, color numbers and letters printed on the motherboard should be put in contrast with her color!
