As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift recently to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0". I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.
But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!! Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...
The sixth prize is truly a killer motherboard, the ASUS Maximus IV Extreme P67 B3!
This motherboard from ASUS has just about anything an enthusiast could ask for including:
- ROG Connect: Plug and Overclock - Tweak it the hardcore way!
- ROG iDirect : Tune your PC from your iPhone or iPad now!
- RC Bluetooth: Smashes through all the barriers of conventional overclocking!
- Extreme Engine Digi+: Smashes through all the barriers of conventional overclocking!
- USB BIOS Flashback: Refresh the BIOS can never be that easy
How can you win this wonderful piece of engineering that currently sells for more than $360???
Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking ASUS for its sponsorship of PC Perspective as well as any ideas you have for the NEXT super-motherboard. What other features would you like to see from ASUS?
You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!
We will pick the winners soon and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices. Good luck and thanks for reading!!

Even tho i never owned an ASUS product i do appreciate them sponsoring one of my fav podcasts (thank you spell check)
Thank you ASUS for all your support. PcPer is a wonderful site. Its awesome to have the opportunity to win some new hardware.
It would be cool to see a LCD for posting error at boot.
thanks again.
Thank you Asus. Your sponsorship is appreciated.
It would be sweet to see a panel with overclocking stats on it listing all system speeds, freq, and temps.
Thanks for supporting my favorite website Asus! Love your products and this website!
Thank you ASUS for the great products. Just happy to join the contest. More power to PCPer.com.
Thanks ASUS for sponsoring PC Perspective. What would be great to see in a next gen top of the line board is the removal of the rather crappy built in sound cards and using the extra space to provide more USB 3.0 and other ports.
Big thanks to Asus !
I'd like to see fp and USB headers that sit along the bottom edge of the board rotated 90 degrees (vertical orientation?-conectors pointing downwards)- in the same manner that SATA connectors now appear. It would make SLI/Crossfire less of a balancing act...especially for us using the DirectCuII triple-slot cards.
Thanks Asus. I personally use a P8P67 series motherboard while awaiting the Z series chipset and love it. The one thing I would like to see is with the higher end boards that have a USB 3.0 header connection is to include a front panel accessory for the extra ports. Finding one on the market or stocked in a store is nearly impossible at this point.
Thank you Asus for sponsoring my go-to site for tech news and reviews. I gotta say that your ROG line of motherboards never fails to impress. I love the concept of iDirect. How long before we get integrated dual GPUs?
Thanks to ASUS for sponsoring the PC Per crew, maybe a bootable user flash on board like a usb or sd socket?
Big thanks to ASUS for this rock giveaway!
*** Be sure to include on next motherboard PciEx 3.0 and a card reader port directly on the motherboard or some connectors and a front panel? I`m sure this would be more than appreciated by most people.
Also WLAN capabilities would be a big plus. And i`m sure not only for me!
ASUS ROCKS!
I love pc per, and all that you do.
don't give away to much though. have to have some left overs for ebay
Holy Moley!
Massive thanks to ASUS for sponsoring *this* one and our beloved PCPERSPECTIVE site( who knows v4.0 will be this great looking and fun!).
My ideas of the next super motherboard:
-Quad Channel DDR3 Memory.(If the technology permits)
-N00b(I belong to this group) and l33t friendly.(Especially when OCing)
-Great SLI/CF scaling.
-Superb layout and design.
What other features would you like to see from ASUS?
-Mobos with onboard/PCIEx1 SSDs. I know it'll hurt our pockets but this will sure improve the performance of the board.
-TUF like watercooling friendly heat spreaders/sinks. (Water everywhere, baby!)
That's it. Hopefully ASUS will take a look at this one. Thanks PCPERSPECTIVE and ASUS!
thanks a lot ASUS for sponsorship n also thx to PC Perspective for arranging this giveaway
i like most of asus features like : TurboV EVo , Auto system level up , T.Probe , Core unlocker , Turbo unlocker , Express Gate , Asus Q-shield , Rog connect , Probeit , iRog , Cop EX , CPU Level Up , GameFirst MemOk etc.
hope upcoming asus motherboard have a more opportunity for better water cooling....also have a real-time online gaming futures...n also specially use green technology and lower power use....and also more room for another pci slot after install 3 or 4 way sli
have a nice day Asus n PC Perspective
Asus many thanks for support of PC Perspective.
this the best site and is made even better by you support.
I live to see more 6gbs Sata port on the next super-motherboard and more RAM slots.
great look for new site many thanks PC PER.
Thanks Asus for sponsoring PC Perspective. I cant wait to see what you come up with in 2012. Maybe a mobo with a built in water cooling unit integrated into the board itself.
Many thanks to Asus for supporting PC Perspective.
How about secretly supporting OSX installs on your hardware? Only Kidding! ; )
Thank you ASUS for your sponsorship of PCPer, you've brought some great products to the market and I cant wait to get my hands on some of your newer hardware.
It would be super sweet to have a remote to control your fans and your overclocking.
Who wouldn't want to build a rig around this badboy! Thank you Asus!! One feature I would like to see is an add-on for the old rs232 port for programming Home Theater automation, like in my old A8N-SLI Premium. No need for USB to Serial adapter.
Thanks ASUS for sponsoring PC Perspective. This mobo has so much going on its hard to think about adding anything.
thanks again.
Thumbs up to Asus!
This board would be awesome for my future SB build!
Thanks pcper for the contest, and thank you ASUS for the sponsorhip.
Built in wireless is always nice.
Feelin' the love from ASUS. Thanks for supporting PCPer! I'd love to see a waterblock cooling the VRMs/chipset.
Wow, great board Asus. Thank you for sponsoring pcper and letting this contest be so rewarding.
Iv had great experiences with all your hardware, keep up the great work Asus, and please keep up the great reviews pcper, I really appreciate all your hard work.
ASUS, "Thank You," this is a killer board. Your sponsorship of PC Perspective is greatly appreciated. I dont know how you could top something like this next time. But the more customization options the better.
thanks again
This is truly a monstrous board. How do I know, I actually broke down and spent the extra $$$ to get all the features this board offered that many other didn't.
Thanks ASUS for its sponsorship of PC Perspective.
Things that could be better:
- Straight sata ports since my mid case doesn't have enough room to use all the ports.
- Option to turn off all the lights on the board to save power.
- Better error, debugging, troubleshooting abilities. Would be nice to know why it crashes rather than it just stating your overclocking settings don't work.
- 2 more ram slots.
- Cooks me bacon in the morning.
Thank you Asus for supporting PcPer. This looks like a remarkable motherboard. I would offer a choice in color next time. The users who buy this type of board generally are the enthusiast that love to look at show it off. So If it was easier to match with the color scheme of the rest of the computer that would be great.
Thank you Asus for sponsoring PC Perspective! We appreciate you giving back to the fans. I can't think of anything to really improve the top end motherboards offered by Asus. Other posters have mentioned wireless capabilities... that would be nice.
Thank you ASUS. In next motherboard I want to see a PCI-Express 3.0 slot.
Thanks Asus for supporting PC Perspective!
This motherboard will definitely be my pick if I had the cash to build my Dream PC, but the NEXT super-motherboard would really be outstanding if it had:
This motherboard would cement Asus' position as the leading motherboard maker in the industry.
