Not to worry, gD Hardware was there, with cameras.  From a sneak peak at Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, to overclocking and more, it’s all there for you to see.
“Quakecon 2006 was announced pretty late this year. Unfortunately, I had already booked a vacation through the 3rd and had to work the 4th, but at least I got to show up on Friday night and Saturday. This was my 11th Quakecon and it has changed quite a bit since the beginning. It is a bit smaller this year than the last two events at the Gaylord Resort. This year’s event was held at the Hilton Anatole and not only does it reportedly have room for the event to expand, but it was a big place in its own right. Having lived in Dallas for almost 8 years, I somehow managed not to realize this hotel near downtown was so big. That being said, the BYOC was definitely toned down for the event and the vendor area seemed to be as well.”
