CoolTechZone has published a brief article on what Razer has done to their mice to fix a tracking problem found in their mice, and Logitech's response to the same issue.
"If you've read our interview with Logitech, you'll realize that Razer remedied much of the
surface tracking problems by issuing a firmware upgrade, which is currently not possible with
Logitech mice due to quality assurance issues, according to Logitech. However, the world's most
influential peripherals maker could look at this solution down the road."
