TECHGAGE looks at a new beta for a distro of Linux release by a team of Polish programmers, called Kate.  Very colourful and running Xfce4 to display the desktop.  Although a lightweight distro, it comes with Open Office, The Gimp, Super Tux and more.  The attention getter is updateos, a very easy way to upadte the entire system.

"Kate OS 3 is nearing it's final stages, so I thought I would take a look at the recent beta. This is

a lightweight distro with the goals of providing what you need to get a great system up and running,

and also the security and efficiency you need."
