… for gaming.  But trouble is a brewing, as one likes PnP and tabletop gaming while the other prefers Poke-cards, and has no idea where WarCraft came from.  Or maybe it’s really the struggle of coming to terms with Deep Crows and Fruitfu … err the gaming store guy.

Whatever it is, it is Penny Arcade, and they now have a game (PC and Xbox360) called “On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness”, a zany Pulp Lovecraftian RPG, giving you a chance for more PA than anyone should ever have to withstand.  At Shacknews, you can get a quick review and pick up the demo.  If you like it, the whole game can be picked up online from HotHead Games.

“Tycho and Gabe have partnered in true collaborative style with independent developer Hothead Games and are bringing the comic to life in the form of the first-ever Penny Arcade video game, a PC/Mac/Linux computer game called Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness. Consulting on the gameÂ’s design is Ron Gilbert, creator of such adventure game classics as The Secret of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion. The gameplay is a blend of classic adventure and role-playing (RPG) combat elements set in the 1920Â’s. Penny Arcade Adventures is initially expected to be released in a downloadable, episodic format.”
