If you are looking for a little ghost busting action you have only a few more months to wait.  DriverHeaven tried the current version of the game, which has most of the code finished and it looks like it is on track for a June release.  The original actors and writers were involved in the long, drawn out and sluggish production of this game, which rivals Duke Nukem for development length and convoluted history.  Fans of the movies will love the nostalgia from the franchise while newcomers will be more attracted to the Infernal Engine which powers the game.  This will be the first game to be powered by this engine, and you can get a feel for it’s lighting, shadows and physics in the video that [H]ard|OCP posted.

“Some of the more mature gamers will remember seeing the original Ghostbusters movie then playing the video game on their Commodore 64 many eons ago. Later this year developer Terminal Reality (via publisher Atari) are releasing a new Ghostbusters title which is set to bring a whole new generation of fans into the spirit of the franchise. We recently had some time to sit down with a beta version of the code and to share our thoughts on how it has been developing.”
