SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 19, 2007 — Intel Corporation will make managing business PC networks less costly and simpler by aligning Intel® vPro™ technology with the newly released versions of Microsoft* System Center* management solutions and incorporating new PC management standards.

The next generation of Intel vPro technology (codenamed "Weybridge") will add support for the new Web Services Management (WS-MAN) standard and include new Intel® Active Management Technology features to reduce the spread of viruses and worms. In addition, it will adopt an upcoming Desktop Mobile Work Group (DMWG) specification for interoperability across PC hardware and software developed by the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF).
