Today, in a $5.4 billion deal, AMD and ATI announced their plans to combine forces to become an industry processing powerhouse. AMD's leadership in CPUs, combined with ATI's leadership in graphics and digital media processing technologies, will enable significant new product innovations, resulting in more integrated, open standards-based solutions to address customers' needs. AMD aspires to re-invent the industry as the customer-centric technology leader and partner of choice.
