So you figure you've got a good desktop?  Well try this box from Orion Industries, if you can be spending the $100,000 to buy it.  Currently the 'puter is running Transmeta chips, but Orion is looking into support for other chips as well.  If you could cool it, imagine what 96 AMD 64 Bit, dual cores could do for your Seti@Home, Einstein, Folding or Find A Drug production!

"It's a new phenomenon for desktops. Orion started shipping a 12-processor desktop cluster last October and has garnered about 30 to 40 customers, said founder Colin Hunter, including the National Institutes of Health, a couple of Russian oil companies, and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which has been testing a 96-node box."
