February 7, 2013 | 02:48 AM - Posted by Hakuho (not verified)

want to upgrade my ailing antec 550w to something efficient 80 Plus complaint and above 600w so I can replace my 9600GT too

February 7, 2013 | 03:31 AM - Posted by RuffeDK

My reason is rather complicated. My old rig was a beast (X58 + GTX 295) but I had to sell it because it was too expensive to have running "in the background". I've almost sold every component but not the GTX 295, and I really want to keep it to be honest.
My current low-end budget system has a SeaSonic G-360W PSU along with an Intel Pentium G860 and OEM GeForce 440GT. Sometimes I wish I could just throw my GTX 295 in there and crank up every game, but my SS G-360 does not have the PCI-E connectors required to awaken the beast.
Send me one and you would help me out big times! I love SeaSonic powersupplies.
I don't have Twitter, but I'm following PCPer on YouTube and Facebook, and SeaSonic on Facebook as well.
Thanks.

February 7, 2013 | 03:33 AM - Posted by tpolakov (not verified)

I would be able to upgrade my son's PC with better graphics as the current PSU does not support PCIE...

February 7, 2013 | 09:52 AM - Posted by aps (not verified)

I could add some more spinning drives - these games today are freekin' huge. To think there once was a time when a decent game fit on two 360K floppies.

It's Seasonic. Best PSU products and service quality every. This should serve well my GTX 680 + Quadro 4000.

February 7, 2013 | 04:01 PM - Posted by NascarFreak3

A friend of mine gave me his old gaming PC but it needs a PSU and I haven't gotten around to buying one yet. My current PSU is only 200W and doesn't have the right plugs or enough power for the other PC.

February 7, 2013 | 04:25 PM - Posted by The Good Dad (not verified)

My son is turning 10 and I would love to have one of these power supplies for our father and son first ever gaming PC build project together.

He's never built his own system from the ground up and I think he's at the right age to start learning this invaluable skill.

Frankly, the power supply never gets any love but having a solid PSU is the backbone of a build. Too bad so many people skimp on the quality ones and never can figure out why their system is unstable.

Thanks for the consideration.

February 7, 2013 | 04:25 PM - Posted by Col_Hogan

It would allow me to run dual 7970's if I ever had the need for them..also allow better efficiency..and who doesnt want to save money, on thier power bill.?

Finish a PC for my brother!

February 7, 2013 | 06:49 PM - Posted by Humanitarian

I'd use it primarily to arc weld my door shut to stop the wimen running away, secondly to give me the peace of mind to push up my OC a little without thinking my PSU is going to explode. Curse you bulldozer, why do you consume so much!?

February 7, 2013 | 07:36 PM - Posted by krankycheese

Update the wife's PC power supply. Then I can update her graphics card to help her game in higher resolution and speed.

February 7, 2013 | 08:51 PM - Posted by bizzle (not verified)

I am in the process of putting together a shopping list for a new build I hope to complete by the end of the month to replace my 3 year old gaming rig. A free power supply would be a most welcome addition to that :)

I would use it to finish building a gaming PC for my nephew. It would add another gamer to the ranks of PC gaming!

I would be very happy if I have this power supply. My PC can run nearly the whole day

February 8, 2013 | 09:47 PM - Posted by BoseEinstein

This would be perfect for my first build. With this PSU I would build with the 3570k and would put the money in, so I could do a great Graphics Card like the 660ti! Still in the air for the motherboard, Newegg has too many 1 and 2 star reviews on motherboards.....

February 9, 2013 | 04:02 AM - Posted by ThorAxe

I have a GTX 570 SLI system I want to put into my son's PC as his old PSU won't cut it. Higher efficiency with those power hungry beasts would be an added bonus. :)

February 10, 2013 | 10:06 PM - Posted by Martin Brideau (not verified)

Personally, if i win, i will give it to my girlfriend for her next build. she have already some pieces, like a case, some RAM, my old GTX 460. We are also student, so we don't have much money. So, it would be awesome if i can win for her.
Personally, i already have a Seasonic S12D 850W, so, i don't really need of a new power supply. It's for that if i win, i will give it to her (that and the fact that will be to complicated to destroy my present cable management...).

February 10, 2013 | 10:08 PM - Posted by Martin_591

Oups, I forgot i had a account here...

February 11, 2013 | 10:22 AM - Posted by Clonk

well I have been slowly buying and replacing all of my Psupplys with Seasonic S12II series 300watt-to-500 watt they are easily some of the best psupplys I have run over the years. to MANY pros to list...Cons..one of them came with a buzz turns out that it was a bit of the cable plastic webbing touch the very silent fan..(side cutters fixed that in 2 secs) So it would be great to replace the Naxn in my Rendering/Testing server...which would be a matching set and Quite.

Love the Seasonics..

February 11, 2013 | 09:56 PM - Posted by K. Brent Church (not verified)

Put either one of those PSUs into my current i5 system, which I'm sure is a bit on the edge. Could pick up a cheap 460 and SLI it. More importantly I could move my current PSU into a system that is underpowered a bit by the lack of a 24-pin power connector. Only half of the ram works due to this and the system is a bit unstable.

February 12, 2013 | 06:57 AM - Posted by guybo

With a brand new high quality Seasonic PSU, I would replace the 5-year old PSU in my gaming machine and play racing games until my eyeballs fall out of my head.

February 12, 2013 | 07:23 PM - Posted by MarixD (not verified)

This would make it one less item that I need to buy for the computer I will be building soon.

February 12, 2013 | 09:00 PM - Posted by J35T3R (not verified)

Definitely will allow me to SLI GTX 670s for some sweet sweet Hawken and Planetside 2 action!

February 12, 2013 | 10:24 PM - Posted by icebug

Well, it's winter here at North Pole - no, Finland, actually. Maybe one of these supplies would be powerful enough to generate some much needed heat by my computer desk. Keeping my fingers warm would greatly enhance my computing experience by reducing the amount of typos.

February 14, 2013 | 03:09 AM - Posted by Albert Ragasa (not verified)

I would be able to have a PCI-E, 8 Pin EPS 12V and TRUE POWER to power up my upcoming upgrades like High End Graphics card and High End Motherboad. My Current PSU is a cheap 600w (which is rated only 200 - 300w in my research). So for this I would really really wanted to have a Power Supply that delivers true power! I'm also using a on-board graphics chip.

February 14, 2013 | 03:20 AM - Posted by Albert Ragasa (not verified)
