As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift recently to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0".  I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.

But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!!  Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...

The ninth (!!) prize is a set of Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 2.1 Speakers!!

What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?

Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking Corsair for its sponsorship of PC Perspective as well as an interesting feature or addition you would like to see in future speaker sets.  Be creative! You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!

Thanks for supporting PCPer.com Corsair. Speakers have traditionally, for me, been visible while using the computer. They typically take up desk space. I know that isn't true for everyone, but I believe it's pretty common, especially with the smaller speaker sets, or even center channel speaker. Perhaps USB speakers that integrate a small LCD display would help make better use of the desk space?

Thanks Corsair for helping to keep PC per online. I'd like to see an outdoor test in future speaker reviews, i know that mostly these are for indoor pc use but what if your stereo is down and you have a patio party and need a replacement?

Thank you Corsair for your sponsorship of PC Perspective. I love the cable going to the satellites since I could easily cut the wires and extend the distance and placement of the wires. As for an interesting feature or addition you could sell longer cables or implement the ability to use regular speaker wires to allow placement or custom installations so that less handy customers.

I think our next adventure will/should definitely be powered/acive 2.1 or better yet, 2.2 speaker systems! Let's get down and dirty! Down to say, um, 10hz! What do you say? Are we on?

your only true love,
desennium

Thank you Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective! The partnership and community you have continually sponsored is inspiring. I hope you continue to cultivate this community, and help it grow even better. So, one feature I would love to see in speakers in the future is some new diversity in inputs. The most common now are analog inputs, and optical inputs via TOSlink and Coax. What I want to see are HDMI audio inputs (with some sort of splitter, one to monitor, and one to speakers; USB input, and wireless network input so that it can be selected as a remote playback destination.

May 4, 2011 | 12:56 AM - Posted by mmann

Thank you Corsair for supporting PC Perspective. I like what ptrinh1979 said about a wireless network input so we could use it for remote playback.

May 4, 2011 | 01:03 AM - Posted by azstraph

Thank you Corsair for supporting PCper and allow them to review your many products.

As for what I'm looking forward to future speaker sets:
1) 5.1+ Audio
2) The ability to buy my own speaker wiring instead of having a set length.
3) Ports to connect both USB and phone head phones.

Thanks Corsair.
It'd be cool to have a decibel limiter, either software or hardware. I hate it when I'd crank up the sound in CSS to hear footsteps and then some 13yr old screaming random stuff and blow my ear drums out...

Thanks Corsair and PCper! This looks like a great set of speakers. I was going to say that one feature I'd like to see was a headphone jack on the controller/breakout box, but I see it's already there. Awesome! Great job!

I've got a new feature for ya. That sub is massive. I'd recommend adding some padding to the top. That thing would make a an awesome ottoman! Kick back and relax with your feet propped up on that thing while listening to some righteous tunes or having a frag fest.

May 7, 2011 | 10:42 AM - Posted by tracknatasha

Thanks Corsair for this giveaway and sponsoring it. Well in future sets of speakers i want to see on app for major OS so we can control sounds and songs played in speakers. When ever i want to increase/ decrease sounds i have to go to speakers and do that. It would be nice if we have some sort of app which can control it within specified range so i don't have to come down to speakers every time from kitchen or another room.

May 7, 2011 | 02:36 PM - Posted by slugbug55

You really need to post the winners in the original post so people know the giveaway is over.
