As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift over the weekend to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0". I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.
But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!! Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...
The fourth set of prizes is a pair of Corsair Gaming Audio Series HS1 Headsets!
Winners of this contest will be able to choose if they prefer the HS1 USB-based model or the HS1A analog connection model. Check out the review I linked above as these are some very nice headphones with an MSRP of $99!!
What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?
Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking Corsair for its sponsorship of PC Perspective as well as the worst audio configuration you have ever owned! Fess up, what junk have you bought at Best Buy for $9.99??
You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!
We will pick the winners tomorrow and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices. Good luck and thanks for reading!!

Thanks Corsair! I bought an RCA "5.1" system from Frys for my office.
Thanks Corsair for supporting PC Per and nice looking headphones. I remember the first 2.1 computers speakers I bought 15 years ago from CompUSA that lasted a week before the sub shorted out. Lovely shade of tan. Good times.
Thank you Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective! I guess the only time I had a bad headset was when I didn't have any.
Keep up the good work as you branch out into new products with a higher caliber of quality.
These sound perfect for gaming in the bedroom without pissing off the gf
Thanks to Corsair for giving us some great gear! Worst ever? I went without sound for over a year because I couldn't afford to replace my speakers with even 2.0's!!
I've heard good things about these particular headsets. I would very much like to give a set a shot. Thanks to PCPer and Corsair quality products and reviews. Lets see, what is the worst audio setup i've ever used... probably crappy no-name 2W speakers i had when i was a kid. Used to have an SB Audigy64 but, the recent integrated chipsets are decent enough for me.
Rock on Corsair, thanks for sponsoring PC Perspective.
Worst audio configuration? Duct taped headphones.
Thanks Corsair for sponsoring the site (and the podcast, at least indirectly)! Worst audio configuration? Driving back from Las Vegas, my car battery had died. After a push start I got it running again, but since I own a Honda that meant the radio was locked out from use until I entered the unlock code, which was 300 miles away in my desk drawer. The entire ride home, all 6 hours of it or so, were audio-less except for the occasional album playing from my iPad, wedged between the passenger seat and the center console. I immediately took a photo of the card and put it into Evernote so I would never have that happen to me again.
thanks Corsair! worst audio was a set of 2.99 headset i got off woot one time.....not good
Corsair you guys rock, Thanks a lot for helping PC perspective keep doing an awesome job.
The worst audio setup I have ever owned is probably the Montgomery Wards 5 watt am fm receiver with built in turntable and 8 track player(also 8 track to cassette adapter). The speakers were MCS 4 1/2 inch ported wide range.
Thanks Corsair. My worst audio setup ever was the old Antec Lansing satellites. There was also the time back in the days of DOS and Win 3.1 where I used only the built-in pc speaker for game audio playback.
Sweet headset. I actually got suckered into a home theater in a box from best buy's house brand insignia. Worst thing I ever heard. In my defense, It was on black Friday and I was probably a little sleep deprived. Gotta drink that extra cup of coffee next time. Good luck all :)
Thanks for supporting PC perspective corsair. My worst audio setup is probably the current one I have with my monitor speakers, which get the job done, but not well. Let me win one of these contests for once!
Thanks Corsair! I bought a 5.1 surround sound setup for $20 from an old teacher of mine. He thought it was broken, but the remote was just dead. I took it home and instantly regretted it; the fan inside of it was dying and it makes a very noticeable whirring sound for 10-15 minutes after turning the receiver on. Then the fan finally dies, and the thing overheats and I get crappy audio. Still have it hooked up though :P
The headphones look very nice and kudos for Corsair helping out PC Perspective. Well as for the worst audio config, I am still using a Sony mini DVD system from 14 years ago from Nobody Beats The Wiz..remember them..and it is so old it won't play burned CD's, has to be CD-RW..strange I know!!
Thanks Corsair!!! The junk speakers that are in my Asus monitor are probably the worst speakers I have ever owned. Close second are the 10 year old speakers I have that I got at sams club for 10 bucks.
Thanks Corsair for supporting PC Perspective! I'm not sure it's the worst I've used, but I'm currently running the integrated sound on a netbook (pretty awful) to a 20+ year old Fisher receiver.
Awesome, Corsair does some good products, unlike some of the other 're-branders' out there.
Good to see them supporting PCP'er
Thanks Corsair for supporting PC Per.
I think that the 1W RMS Genius system which it sounded like crap!
For $ 10 I bought a mower hair:) ...
Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PCPer! Unfortunately it's kind of hard for me to pick he worst computer audio setup I've owned since I've had so many bad ones. That said, I think I would have to go with some no name headset I bought at BB. :(
Thanks Corsair for sponsoring this giveaway, very cool. My worst experience was with a Logitech headset that wrapped around the back of the head. After 10 minutes of wearing it you got massive head and ear aches because it was so tight, I hated it and threw it away about a week later.
Thanks for all the great prizes and sponsorship Corsair. This is the product I'd really like to get.
My worsed audio has to be a little speaker the size of the palm of your hand. It was meant to be used as a USB speaker phone thing, but I had to use it for everything since my speakers crapped out.
Yay Corsair!!!!! Thanks for sponsoring PCP!
thank you Corsair and PCPer
Thank you Corsair... I bought a pair of $6 Gummy earplugs cause I left my others at home while I was at school. They were blue. Ah the memories!

Thanks Corsair for supporting PCper.com!!!!!
I used some old speakers i had on my old Compaq presario P1 133Mhz which i replaced 3 years ago. So i had them for like a decade :S....Being a student sucks lol!!!
Please pick me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the sponsorship of PCperspective Corsair and the giveaway. My worst audio configuration would be no audio peripherals. About ten years ago I got was given my first computer. It had been sitting in a basement for a couple years and was missing speakers.
