As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift over the weekend to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0".  I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.

But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!!  Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...

The fourth set of prizes is a pair of Corsair Gaming Audio Series HS1 Headsets!

Winners of this contest will be able to choose if they prefer the HS1 USB-based model or the HS1A analog connection model.  Check out the review I linked above as these are some very nice headphones with an MSRP of $99!!

What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?

Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking Corsair for its sponsorship of PC Perspective as well as the worst audio configuration you have ever owned!  Fess up, what junk have you bought at Best Buy for $9.99??

You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!

We will pick the winners tomorrow and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices.  Good luck and thanks for reading!!

Thanks Corsair! I bought an RCA "5.1" system from Frys for my office.

April 21, 2011 | 04:38 PM - Posted by havik2k

Thanks Corsair for supporting PC Per and nice looking headphones. I remember the first 2.1 computers speakers I bought 15 years ago from CompUSA that lasted a week before the sub shorted out. Lovely shade of tan. Good times.

Thank you Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective! I guess the only time I had a bad headset was when I didn't have any.

Keep up the good work as you branch out into new products with a higher caliber of quality.

These sound perfect for gaming in the bedroom without pissing off the gf

April 21, 2011 | 04:42 PM - Posted by Barlin

Thanks to Corsair for giving us some great gear! Worst ever? I went without sound for over a year because I couldn't afford to replace my speakers with even 2.0's!!

April 21, 2011 | 04:42 PM - Posted by Buyers (not verified)

I've heard good things about these particular headsets. I would very much like to give a set a shot. Thanks to PCPer and Corsair quality products and reviews. Lets see, what is the worst audio setup i've ever used... probably crappy no-name 2W speakers i had when i was a kid. Used to have an SB Audigy64 but, the recent integrated chipsets are decent enough for me.

April 21, 2011 | 04:42 PM - Posted by elgrandeburro

Rock on Corsair, thanks for sponsoring PC Perspective.

Worst audio configuration? Duct taped headphones.

April 21, 2011 | 04:42 PM - Posted by Tedknaz (not verified)

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring the site (and the podcast, at least indirectly)! Worst audio configuration? Driving back from Las Vegas, my car battery had died. After a push start I got it running again, but since I own a Honda that meant the radio was locked out from use until I entered the unlock code, which was 300 miles away in my desk drawer. The entire ride home, all 6 hours of it or so, were audio-less except for the occasional album playing from my iPad, wedged between the passenger seat and the center console. I immediately took a photo of the card and put it into Evernote so I would never have that happen to me again.

thanks Corsair! worst audio was a set of 2.99 headset i got off woot one time.....not good

April 21, 2011 | 04:44 PM - Posted by Andrew (not verified)

Corsair you guys rock, Thanks a lot for helping PC perspective keep doing an awesome job.
The worst audio setup I have ever owned is probably the Montgomery Wards 5 watt am fm receiver with built in turntable and 8 track player(also 8 track to cassette adapter). The speakers were MCS 4 1/2 inch ported wide range.

April 21, 2011 | 04:44 PM - Posted by krankycheese

Thanks Corsair. My worst audio setup ever was the old Antec Lansing satellites. There was also the time back in the days of DOS and Win 3.1 where I used only the built-in pc speaker for game audio playback.

April 21, 2011 | 04:46 PM - Posted by fasn8n12

Sweet headset. I actually got suckered into a home theater in a box from best buy's house brand insignia. Worst thing I ever heard. In my defense, It was on black Friday and I was probably a little sleep deprived. Gotta drink that extra cup of coffee next time. Good luck all :)

April 21, 2011 | 04:52 PM - Posted by Jon Stanis (not verified)

Thanks for supporting PC perspective corsair. My worst audio setup is probably the current one I have with my monitor speakers, which get the job done, but not well. Let me win one of these contests for once!

April 21, 2011 | 04:52 PM - Posted by Grunteh

Thanks Corsair! I bought a 5.1 surround sound setup for $20 from an old teacher of mine. He thought it was broken, but the remote was just dead. I took it home and instantly regretted it; the fan inside of it was dying and it makes a very noticeable whirring sound for 10-15 minutes after turning the receiver on. Then the fan finally dies, and the thing overheats and I get crappy audio. Still have it hooked up though :P

April 21, 2011 | 04:54 PM - Posted by Bill (not verified)

The headphones look very nice and kudos for Corsair helping out PC Perspective. Well as for the worst audio config, I am still using a Sony mini DVD system from 14 years ago from Nobody Beats The Wiz..remember them..and it is so old it won't play burned CD's, has to be CD-RW..strange I know!!

April 21, 2011 | 04:58 PM - Posted by Ed (not verified)

Thanks Corsair!!! The junk speakers that are in my Asus monitor are probably the worst speakers I have ever owned. Close second are the 10 year old speakers I have that I got at sams club for 10 bucks.

April 21, 2011 | 04:59 PM - Posted by Isaac Johnson

Thanks Corsair for supporting PC Perspective! I'm not sure it's the worst I've used, but I'm currently running the integrated sound on a netbook (pretty awful) to a 20+ year old Fisher receiver.

April 21, 2011 | 05:01 PM - Posted by kellaen (not verified)

Awesome, Corsair does some good products, unlike some of the other 're-branders' out there.

Good to see them supporting PCP'er

Thanks Corsair for supporting PC Per.
I think that the 1W RMS Genius system which it sounded like crap!
For $ 10 I bought a mower hair:) ...

April 21, 2011 | 05:05 PM - Posted by ReelTrouble

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PCPer! Unfortunately it's kind of hard for me to pick he worst computer audio setup I've owned since I've had so many bad ones. That said, I think I would have to go with some no name headset I bought at BB. :(

April 21, 2011 | 05:10 PM - Posted by vanster

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring this giveaway, very cool. My worst experience was with a Logitech headset that wrapped around the back of the head. After 10 minutes of wearing it you got massive head and ear aches because it was so tight, I hated it and threw it away about a week later.

April 21, 2011 | 05:12 PM - Posted by Blake S (not verified)

Thanks for all the great prizes and sponsorship Corsair. This is the product I'd really like to get.

My worsed audio has to be a little speaker the size of the palm of your hand. It was meant to be used as a USB speaker phone thing, but I had to use it for everything since my speakers crapped out.

I used some old speakers i had on my old Compaq presario P1 133Mhz which i replaced 3 years ago. So i had them for like a decade :S....Being a student sucks lol!!!

Thanks for the sponsorship of PCperspective Corsair and the giveaway. My worst audio configuration would be no audio peripherals. About ten years ago I got was given my first computer. It had been sitting in a basement for a couple years and was missing speakers.

Thanks Corsair, for supporting this pcper. I've tried these headphones, and pro quality seinhausers that go for $500-800. The sound is almost the same, but with a mic too. one of the best headsets available today!

The worst sound setup i've ever had was in my first car.... stock 5w radio (87 honda civic sedan) with home stereo speakers (15w ea.) sitting on the rear seats behind each front seat. LOL. True story.

April 21, 2011 | 06:07 PM - Posted by David L (not verified)

Thanks to Corsair

April 21, 2011 | 06:10 PM - Posted by Imperfectlink

Thanks again Corsair. It's about time for me to replace my dilapidated cans for a new pair.

April 21, 2011 | 06:13 PM - Posted by Clairvoyantx

Thanks Corsair. Why buy the 9.99 speakers at bestbuy? When circuit city was around i remembered buying a pair of non-powered 3in stereo speakers from circuit city; quickly upgraded soon afterwards.

April 21, 2011 | 06:25 PM - Posted by timon37 (not verified)

Thank you Corsair, for me the worst was integrated audio in an old asrock socket 752 (for a cheap sempron). The amount of noise resulting from moving the mouse or hard drive operations or just it being powered on... was simply unbearable.

April 21, 2011 | 06:28 PM - Posted by sotoa

Welcome aboard Corsair to the Pcper redesign! I can't really say I've had a bad audio peripheral problem cause I look for good quality products.

April 21, 2011 | 06:31 PM - Posted by Subetai (not verified)

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PCP. Oh and my worst audio configs are those $15 tiny speakers ages ago.

April 21, 2011 | 06:32 PM - Posted by Curtis (not verified)

Thanks Corsair. I used some free headset you get for signing up for online chat site. Mono and all plastic so it doesn't stay on your head.

April 21, 2011 | 06:32 PM - Posted by somarilnos

Thank you again Corsair! Is there any sort of hardware you aren't selling these days?

I would dare say that all of my audio problems generally have to do with thinking that there are circumstances in which earbuds are a good idea (there aren't).

April 21, 2011 | 06:32 PM - Posted by itcrashed (not verified)

Corsair, thanks for sponsoring PCPer and this giveaway!

As for my worst audio config I ever - had to be the Advnet 2.1 system that came with Micron computers in the late 90s. I swiped them from work :) It was cool to be cutting edge by having a sub, but the sound quality overall was terrible!

April 21, 2011 | 06:33 PM - Posted by geek32 (not verified)

pick me corsair

April 21, 2011 | 06:39 PM - Posted by Jim21 (not verified)

April 21, 2011 | 06:45 PM - Posted by Mario Ramalho (not verified)

Ah, Corsair, the ones that make the Obsidian case that reminds me of the Tycho Monolith form 2001: Space Odyssey. But enough of my fantasies, Thank you, Corsair and PC Perspective, for the opportunity to win such a great piece of hardware.

As to my crappiest audio config of all times, that would have to be my speaker setup of about 5 years ago, from old speakers i rigged together... Talk about distortion. (o_O)

April 21, 2011 | 06:48 PM - Posted by Wei (not verified)

LabTech is the worst I had.... love this one. Thanks for sponsoring PCPerspective!

April 21, 2011 | 06:54 PM - Posted by Kurumi (not verified)

Bought a pair of Labtec speakers which turned out well; for being $10. And by well I mean lasting 2 weeks before they overheated and he magic white smoke left the right speaker.

Thanks Corsir for the nice contribute to this awesome giveaway, I love my Dominators and my HX850! My worst audio configuration is my current :D. I use a 25 year old speakers with a record player for amp and the mic of cheap headphones which don't work :D

April 21, 2011 | 07:08 PM - Posted by timmyisme22

Thanks for the constant support of PCPer! You're great Corsair!

Worst headset I ever had was an old single ear receptionist headset that was cheaper than cheap, but still lasted year after year whenever my slightly better headsets would die out... finally smashed them when I just didn't want to fall back on them ever again... sadly, the mic wasn't that bad sounding.
I think I've lost some of my hearing from the constant nightly ventrilo chats though.

Corsair is awesome for supporting PC Perspective. Awesome, I say.

Usually I run my computer directly to a good amp, I like to pretend to be an audiophile.
But way back in the day…

The Computer:
It was a four or five year old PowerMac G5 (Cheesegrater Edition, no mere iMacs here). These machines started out awesome, but developed some… "heat issues." The machines are enormous, the CPU cooling block is so big that I can use it as a passive cooling stand for my laptop. It really should not lower things by ~5˚f, but it does. When this machine got old something broke in the sensors for the fan speed regulation and the SEVEN FANS would slowly rev up over the course of an hour. This thing would drown out loud conversation.

The Audio Card:
Normally I used the PowerMac's optical output, but when my normal amp imploded (there may have been a volume knob adjustment involved) I was forced back into the world of analog cabling. The headphone jack on this machine was inextricably intertwined with the USB port directly next to it. Any data traveling over it would cause a quiet ticking noise in the audio. Of course it being the front side USB port it had my mouse and keyboard plugged into it. (click*tick* tap*tick* move-mouse-left*tickticktick*)

The Amp:
SO I hooked up an old Marantz 1060, which is a great little old vintage amplifier, only runs 20 watts per channel but sounds like it's 200. I have since payed good money to get it restored, but at the time it had one grungy left channel.

The Speaker:
A Fischer… something. It's a three foot tall, one foot wide, behemoth of great audio. It was SO good, in fact, that the little Amp… couldn't drive it without massive distortion at any volume level.

I used this for months.

Thank you Corsair, for Sponsoring PC Perspective, and currently the worst audio Configuration was a set of Skullcandy Headphones that were just terrible in there audio reproduction.

April 21, 2011 | 07:14 PM - Posted by Ciprian (not verified)

My audio is horrible compare to this.

my worst audio configuration is creative inspire 2.1 sound system with ordinary motherboard built-in sound card.....creeping sound system
i bought junk from best buy in some rechargeable battery.... around maybe $8.40 .... but thats battery don't recharge after 4 days......

April 21, 2011 | 07:15 PM - Posted by Rand

Thanks for supporting the giveaway and PC Perspective Corsair!

Worst ever?
Probably the typical cheapy garbage 2.0 speakers that would often come with new PC's back in the early 90's.
Small tinny speakers that were suitable for little more then the obligatory bleeps and blips.

April 21, 2011 | 07:16 PM - Posted by GenBlood

Corsair is coming out with some nice products for the
consumer market. I'm thinking about getting a headset
for my computer. I'm tired of the ear buds.

Maybe, I might win something ... :) most likely I'll
be ordering something by the end of the month ...

Winning would be sweet ...

April 21, 2011 | 07:18 PM - Posted by Jon (not verified)

Thank you Corsair not only for the contest but for making top quality power supplies.

I had these cheap headphones from best buy (LOL) once and I went to putthem on my head and the snapped right in the middle of the head piece...I tried to duct tape it together but it kept digging into the scalp.

April 21, 2011 | 07:19 PM - Posted by skaya

ty corsair!

worst audio experience is my stock dell speakers right now :(

April 21, 2011 | 07:21 PM - Posted by Lou Davidson (not verified)

Thanx Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective and the cheesiest sound system I have ever used was an FM radio tuned to the high end of the band next to a TRS-80 Model 1. The TRS-80 never had sound so they would generate RF signals to interfere with the FM band. Led to the demise of the TRS-80 Model 1

April 21, 2011 | 07:27 PM - Posted by Greg (not verified)

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspectives.

I'm still using a cheap headset from a Microsoft/Amd seminar many years ago. The foam on the left side is just dangling.

April 21, 2011 | 07:27 PM - Posted by Ben (not verified)

Thanks Corsair for the sponsorship of PCperspective and this giveaway. My work audio configuration was a set of no name speakers that came with my e-machine PC about 9 years ago. They didn't have anything on them not even volume adjustment or a power button.

April 21, 2011 | 07:34 PM - Posted by Raymond Luong (not verified)

Thanks for sponsoring PCperspective Corsiar. My worst audio setup would be a cheap pair of gummy headphones, while I saved up enough money to replace my busted speakers.

I have cosair, ram, psu, and cpu cooler (H50) I love you corsair and you rock, thank you for supporting pcper and pcper thank you for giving us quality information. This is were I get information I can count on!!!!

Thanks corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective. It is companies like you that make sites like this possible. As for worst audio setup, I would have to go with a pair of Altec Lansing speakers on my first PC.

April 21, 2011 | 07:47 PM - Posted by MIke P (not verified)

Thank You Corsair for sponsoring Ryan and PCPer. The worst audio I have endured was digging out my old original SOCOM headset that had dry rotting foam pads to use during raids.

April 21, 2011 | 07:53 PM - Posted by Stuee

Thank you, Corsair, for your continued support of PCPer - a team, site and podcast as good as the excellent products you produce :-)

Sound is important to me as I'm a professional in the world of music performance and production, so I've never bought anything rubbish. Sorry :-/

Thanks, Corsair. I would love a pair of your awesome headphones.

April 21, 2011 | 08:06 PM - Posted by naycire

Thanks Corsair, you're awesome! The worst audio setup is the one I have at work. I'm using an unbranded 2.0 speaker setup that looks like it's from the 90s. Horrible sound compared to anything really.

April 21, 2011 | 08:11 PM - Posted by Synthetic Bacon

Thank you cosair, my audio configuration blows chunks

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PC perspective! The worst audio setup I have ever owned is having to use the speakers on my TV which are mounted on the back and project the sound away from me and sound flat and have no bass at all!

April 21, 2011 | 09:10 PM - Posted by 66pens

Thanks Corsair. I've always had good audio.

April 21, 2011 | 09:15 PM - Posted by Terry Driggers (not verified)

Corsair rocks!! Thank you for the impressive products.

My worst audio configuration would have to be the $1800 case I just built with plenty of corsair parts in it and I forgot the damned headset so I'm using the evil and irritating Apple iPhone earbuds. What in the heck was I thinking?

April 21, 2011 | 09:15 PM - Posted by wormy (not verified)

Thanks for sponsoring PCperspective, Corsair and the giveaway. My worst audio was on board when it quit working and only had one channel left and it was the center channel.....

Thanks to Corsair and PCPer for having such a great contest. Nice of Corsair to sponsor the contest and give away a sweet set of headset.

Thanks Corsair!
I have had some bad setups but the worst were the speakers mounted to my 14" CRT from 1995

April 21, 2011 | 09:40 PM - Posted by ruxjaye

Thanks to Corsair for their support!! Actually just built a new pc inside a Corsair 650D and it's pretty nice.

My worst audio config consisted of some decent sennheiser headphones that I drilled holes in the frame and ran extra wires across the top to try and attach a mic off of another cheaper headset. I initially tried to make it pretty and enclosed but quickly degraded into duct tape and zip ties.

April 21, 2011 | 09:41 PM - Posted by Brian N. (not verified)

Thanks Corsair and PCPer! Gaming with earbuds was probably the worst audio setup i have tried.

April 21, 2011 | 09:45 PM - Posted by Herlof pedersen

April 21, 2011 | 10:00 PM - Posted by D Wolf (not verified)

Thanks corsair! The sponsoring of the event is awesome! Great way to help out the community!

I had a set of Logitech headphones that did their job. Mic and headset that just recently gave out. So I'm using some USB speakers for my laptop that are holding their own, and a free set of ear-bud headphones when I don't want to bother my roommate. No mic though so my games are very silent with friends.

April 21, 2011 | 10:06 PM - Posted by watuzi

Many thanks to Corsair for its sponsorship of PC Perspective. Worst headphone I have owned are the ones that came with the Ipod. I also have small speakers, so I need these headphones bad.

Thanks corsair for supporting PCper and keep the gear coming i love ur PSU cases , coolers, and hopefully from what i hear about this headset a decent audio experience for the money. I personally havent had any bad experiences with audio but i have paid $$$ for a Logitech setup that fell apart after only a couple months of daily use.

Thanks a lot, Corsair!
I just bought a 750TX last week and I LOVE it! (Also, my server's RAM is Corsair brand; so thanks for the reliability, there, too).
Really, though...without sponsors like you, sites like these wouldn't exist. And then, we'd all be really bored and uninformed.

I once used a DAT player that I found in a dumpster as an amp/input switcher. And I hooked it up to two, AA-battery-powered speakers the size of a baby's fist. That's how I got my VCR and N64 to be hooked up to my TV at the same time.

April 21, 2011 | 10:44 PM - Posted by Syllabub

Dear Corsair: Thank you very much for sponsoring PCPer and supporting a diligently dedicated group of guys! My worst audio configuration would have been a pair of knock-off 4 inch tall battery powered speakers. While it certainly wasn't Corsair quality it was better than not hearing anything at all. V4.0 of the site it turning out really nice and after a short period of adjustment I am really digging it.

I have noticed that the Forums section is still looking 'old school' so I'm wondering if it might be due for an upgrade to Rev 4. As far as input about the site goes I did notice that clicking on news links would open up a new tab in my browser while at the same time also sending the originating tab to the same link.

I love corsair, they are currently among the best manufacturers... this is my Perspective,
The worst audio configuration that i owe was a sound my Pentium 4 onboard sound card + some speakers called Hollywood II. Since at that time i didn't put the money for my hardware, I was happy to have such configuration ;)

Thanks Corsair for your sponsorship of PCper.com. Love your products. Personally I have the 800D case, 8gb of XMS3 ram and the H50 cooler, love em all.

Love the new layout pcper.com.

Thanks Corsair for your support in PCPer.

The probably cheesy audio speakers I had was a Sega Genesis branded pair.

April 21, 2011 | 11:23 PM - Posted by sh4un

Very Nice. The website, um yeah, I mean the website.

April 21, 2011 | 11:24 PM - Posted by zetachi

Thanks for the support. Can always use a new set of cans :)

Thank you corsair for your support of our beloved PC Per. It is awesome to have the support and give aways like this.

April 21, 2011 | 11:48 PM - Posted by Chris Stark (not verified)

oh and as for my worst audio set up.. I had once had a small pair of sony portable speakers modified to take power from a wall socket. Pretty crusty but it did the job i guess lol. no where near as good as the sound my laptop speakers produce lol. also had them in my mates car for a while coz it didnt have a speaker or head unit system lol.

April 21, 2011 | 11:56 PM - Posted by Oin Taylor (not verified)

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PcPer.com and the giveaway. My worst audio rig was a $7.00 boom box on my desk.

April 22, 2011 | 12:13 AM - Posted by vailr

Corsair's products are always very good quality.
Thanks much.
Worst audio: trying to play midi tunes from the tiny 1" case speaker, before sound cards were invented.

April 22, 2011 | 12:15 AM - Posted by hl3395

Wow major changes almost thought I went to the wrong site, nice of Corsair to sponsor.
I had these cheap pairs of headphones I got from the airplane for awhile lol
I would put them in styrofoam cups to sound "cooler".

April 22, 2011 | 12:21 AM - Posted by psitech

I haven't tried Corsair's audio equipment yet. If the quality is as good as the rest of their products, this should be great.

April 22, 2011 | 12:28 AM - Posted by sosoggy (not verified)

Can't think of Corsair without thinking of quality!

The worst setup I've used is the one I'm currently using. A cheap, simple pair of low-end Sony headphones.

April 22, 2011 | 12:28 AM - Posted by truk007

Many thanks to Corsair for helping to sponsor the finest tech site on the web.

In the past, any money I've spent at Best Buy was too much.

April 22, 2011 | 12:29 AM - Posted by dtkflex

Thank you very much Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective.
I need to compare this set of headset to my Logitech USB headset and my Grado SR-60's.

April 22, 2011 | 12:37 AM - Posted by Ric (not verified)

Thank you Corsair for the sponsorship of PC Perspective. Worst audio are cheap earplugs that really hurt my ears.

April 22, 2011 | 12:39 AM - Posted by Passan (not verified)

Corsair rocks! Worst audio setup? Has to be these two different sets of Logitech headphones I have to wear to be able to use Ventrillo. Mic on one, one earphone on the other one. I'd love to win this headset. I'd buy it if I could afford it. It's been sitting in my Newegg shopping cart for some time taunting me....

April 22, 2011 | 12:42 AM - Posted by Gemtruk

Thank you Corsair. iPod earbuds just plainly suck.

April 22, 2011 | 12:57 AM - Posted by leobiendurana

Thanks Corsair, for sponsoring PCPERSPECTIVE, as well as the awesome giveaway! My worst audio configuration was a $5 2 channel speaker which I've used for almost a year. It sounds like a tweeter, and looks like it'll blow any minute. Geez, you've made me remember that one... Hahaha...

April 22, 2011 | 01:14 AM - Posted by reded (not verified)

thanks, ya, worst is probably a homemade AM radio, maybe tied with the many times swamped system in a 73 cj5 - topless ridge runner and swamp rat runner - bad static, but hey some skynard, cdb and whiskey - it's all good

April 22, 2011 | 01:18 AM - Posted by Justin (not verified)

Thanks Corsair for supporting my favorite Tech website!

Worst sound experience? Continual cut in and out of onboard sound during a house party from my media PC, all because of some dodgy front panel connector on the motherboards pinouts.

April 22, 2011 | 01:24 AM - Posted by eunoia (not verified)

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective v4.0! This headset (analog, please) will be so much better than my Fisher-Price record player and dollar store Cort earbuds!*

*May not be completely true.

April 22, 2011 | 01:40 AM - Posted by daakers (not verified)

That you Corsair for sponsoring PCPerspective and the great giveaway. Looking forward to seeing the headset attached to my pc.

April 22, 2011 | 01:51 AM - Posted by iamstarfox

Thanks going out to Corsair for providing these great Corsair headphones to be given away in celebration of the new PC Perspective web site. I would prefer the USB version, but would also be happy with the analog version. As for the worst audio configuration I've ever owned?... I use to have a pair of old headphones wired up to the PC speaker connector in my PC back in the early 90s.

April 22, 2011 | 02:11 AM - Posted by Gotmilk

Corsair, thank you very much for your sponsorship/advertising on PC Pespectives:). I'd have to say the worst audio configuration I ever had were "folding in-ear headphones" that I bought at a .99 cent store and the traditional cord was this folding accordian like thing...the sound was horrible but on the plus side...I could literally play Buckwheat zydecko...:))

Thanks Corsair,

April 22, 2011 | 02:28 AM - Posted by kbeister

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective!
The worst headphones I had hurt my ears after 5 minutes of use.

April 22, 2011 | 03:17 AM - Posted by Johnny

Thanks Corsair, and PC Perspective for another Great giveaway! Is it true your giving away a trip to play Simon on Jeopardy to anyone that can read three lines of text in the main PC Per window before it cycles? And that anyone with a dialup connection would be disqualified for having an unfair advantage? Harvest cheddar sun chips, mmmm!!!

April 22, 2011 | 02:54 AM - Posted by arkanic

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring this bunch, love the builder series ps btw ,worst pc sound sys had to be on my 286 system that ran off pc speaker although i think i had something really funky on the cyrix 486 box as well

April 22, 2011 | 02:55 AM - Posted by Daniel T (not verified)

Thanks Corsair for the sponsorship and thanks PCperspective for this chance. Easter prizes!
Worst audio configuration? I had a 5$ headset for an old sony walkman, that was all that i enjoyed for couple of years

Thanks Corsair for supporting PC Perspective! Worst junk ever owned = freebie earbuds that I got at school during a tech fair... this was a few years ago. it's probably stored away with my other free tech stuff

April 22, 2011 | 04:55 AM - Posted by GroundLuminous

Thank you so much to Corsair for supporting PC Perspective. I'm psyched that they're making their way into the audio market; everything Corsair produces is always exceptional.

By far the worst audio configuration I've ever owned were a pair of ancient Logitech speakers that I bought off of a Best Buy employee. Not from Best Buy stock, but from the back of his car. They sounded like a dying cat.

Thanks again to Corsair's sponsorship and PC Perspective. The site redesign looks excellent and I find myself stopping by here more and more.

Thanks Corsair!

April 22, 2011 | 06:10 AM - Posted by robert3892

I'd like to thank Corsair for its kind sponsorship of PC Perspective. I'd like to comment that these headphones also sound great for portable Mp3 players.

I bought a couple of headphones at Best Buy which were a no name audio company. Worst audio decision I ever made. Now I know better and save my money for quality audio components.

April 22, 2011 | 07:38 AM - Posted by MrBlack

Thanks Corsair for another fine product. I did buy a set that wrapped around back of my head - looked good on the box but just never felt right at all.

I love you guys. you ARE the best computer sight out there!!

April 22, 2011 | 08:12 AM - Posted by uberlaff

Thanks Corsair!

I forget the brand but I had a beige pair of generic PC speakers from the mid 90's that were powered by the headphone outlet. Forget how they sounded, they even looked bad...

April 22, 2011 | 08:48 AM - Posted by jtiger102

Thanks Corsair for being a sponsor.

Worst system I owned was a 5.1 system from KLH that I bought at Best Buy many years ago.

April 22, 2011 | 09:20 AM - Posted by riza_kasela

Thanx corsair for sponsorship of PC Perspective

I still use Creative HN-505 for gaming that has very low volume and I have to plug AAA battery to amplify sound and get the bass.
OMG I has spent many battery for it.

Big Thanks to Corsair for supporting PC Perspective.. That's Awesome Dude!!!

My worst audio? I think the worst audio I ever had is using smartphone earphone at my PC and using monitor that include speakers.. It sounds sucks, believe me!!! That was a long time ago I thinked.. Really want to try this cute 7.1 headset..

Keep up d gud work.. Toast~

April 22, 2011 | 09:42 AM - Posted by djskinnyb

Thanks Corsair and PCPer for the giveaway. My worst audio configuration had no speakers. A runner up would be Creative drivers running on an early VIA KT133 chipset.

April 22, 2011 | 09:53 AM - Posted by digitalplowboy

Thanks Corsair.

April 22, 2011 | 09:57 AM - Posted by avatar4

Thx Corsair 4 sponsorship. Worst audio I had was in my laptop Zepto Znote 6214W. Sound quality was terrible even for laptop and one speaker wasnt working. One day I got mad and dissassambled laptop, took out speakers AND soundcard, trew them away and never looked back. And then Ive realized that Ive lost one usb port due to it being connected to sound card.

April 22, 2011 | 10:07 AM - Posted by Irish Mike

Thanks Corsair for your sponsership of PCperspective! These headphones would be a major upgrade from my current cheap setup which is the worst setup I ever had.
