As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift over the weekend to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0".  I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.

But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!!  Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...

The fourth set of prizes is a pair of Corsair Gaming Audio Series HS1 Headsets!

Winners of this contest will be able to choose if they prefer the HS1 USB-based model or the HS1A analog connection model.  Check out the review I linked above as these are some very nice headphones with an MSRP of $99!!

What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?

Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking Corsair for its sponsorship of PC Perspective as well as the worst audio configuration you have ever owned!  Fess up, what junk have you bought at Best Buy for $9.99??

You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!

We will pick the winners tomorrow and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices.  Good luck and thanks for reading!!

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective. The worst audio setup I've owned would be the classic white ipod headphones, can't get much worse than that.

Thanks Corsair! My worst was the sound on a amd board with nvidia chipset. Would hear squealing and popping regularly from that setup. Finally put in an add in card. Horrible!

Thanks corsair!

Worst POS i bought was a headset by creative. Will never touch another of their products again. Crackling Microphone in my friends ears over vent and teamspeak, ear peice material that basically fell apart after a month, and mediocre at best sound. blech.

Always been a Corsair fan, but have only used their memory. My worst speaker setup... the one I have now. Two generic speakers I've had for probably over eight years.

Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PCPer. The worst audio equipment I eve r owned is a headset I currently have as a spare. Bought it from a local dealer for around $2.15! So crappy was its sound quality, there actually was distortion a few weeks into its use. Right now its in 3 pieces!, but the darn thing still works!!!

had way better and costly stuff than that.

Thank you Corsair, I believe they were called audiovox or something like that. Total junk and the volume control worked for about a week.

Corsair, thanks for sponsoring PCPer. I've always used on-board audio with either mid-range speakers or headphones. Though I've got plenty of friends that have gone the cheap route... and my ears don't thank them.

Thank you Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective.

My worst audio configuration was about eight years ago when I was a poor college student and couldn't afford to buy headphones. I'm not sure words do it justice (image linked below), but I basically cobbled together something that resembled a headset out of packing peanuts, a paper clip, duct tape, a plastic spoon and some other assorted stuff. On the plus side wearing it guaranteed me a seat to myself on the bus.
