As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift over the weekend to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0". I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.
But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!! Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...
The fourth set of prizes is a pair of Corsair Gaming Audio Series HS1 Headsets!
Winners of this contest will be able to choose if they prefer the HS1 USB-based model or the HS1A analog connection model. Check out the review I linked above as these are some very nice headphones with an MSRP of $99!!
What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?
Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking Corsair for its sponsorship of PC Perspective as well as the worst audio configuration you have ever owned! Fess up, what junk have you bought at Best Buy for $9.99??
You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!
We will pick the winners tomorrow and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices. Good luck and thanks for reading!!

Many thanks to Corsair for its sponsorship of PC Perspective. Worst headphone I have owned are the ones that came with the Ipod. I also have small speakers, so I need these headphones bad.
Thanks Corsair!
Worst audio configuration I ever owned was used 8 track stereo player I bought at a garage sale years ago.
Thanks Corsair and the worst headset I ever had was my old headphones from the 90's that quit working every so often cuz my cats love to chew the wires
7.1 sound with a pair of headphones... Nice Thanks PC Perspective and Corsair for the giveaway.
Thanks corsair for supporting PCper and keep the gear coming i love ur PSU cases , coolers, and hopefully from what i hear about this headset a decent audio experience for the money. I personally havent had any bad experiences with audio but i have paid $$$ for a Logitech setup that fell apart after only a couple months of daily use.
Thanks a lot, Corsair!
I just bought a 750TX last week and I LOVE it! (Also, my server's RAM is Corsair brand; so thanks for the reliability, there, too).
Really, though...without sponsors like you, sites like these wouldn't exist. And then, we'd all be really bored and uninformed.
I once used a DAT player that I found in a dumpster as an amp/input switcher. And I hooked it up to two, AA-battery-powered speakers the size of a baby's fist. That's how I got my VCR and N64 to be hooked up to my TV at the same time.
Dear Corsair: Thank you very much for sponsoring PCPer and supporting a diligently dedicated group of guys! My worst audio configuration would have been a pair of knock-off 4 inch tall battery powered speakers. While it certainly wasn't Corsair quality it was better than not hearing anything at all. V4.0 of the site it turning out really nice and after a short period of adjustment I am really digging it.
I have noticed that the Forums section is still looking 'old school' so I'm wondering if it might be due for an upgrade to Rev 4. As far as input about the site goes I did notice that clicking on news links would open up a new tab in my browser while at the same time also sending the originating tab to the same link.
Yep, we are planning on upgrading both the LOOK and the version of vBulletin very soon!
I love corsair, they are currently among the best manufacturers... this is my Perspective,
The worst audio configuration that i owe was a sound my Pentium 4 onboard sound card + some speakers called Hollywood II. Since at that time i didn't put the money for my hardware, I was happy to have such configuration ;)
Thanks Corsair for your sponsorship of PCper.com. Love your products. Personally I have the 800D case, 8gb of XMS3 ram and the H50 cooler, love em all.
Love the new layout pcper.com.
Thanks Corsair for your support in PCPer.
The probably cheesy audio speakers I had was a Sega Genesis branded pair.
Very Nice. The website, um yeah, I mean the website.
Thanks for the support. Can always use a new set of cans :)
thanks Corsair for its sponsorship of PC Perspective
worst headed was sidewinder
Thank you corsair for your support of our beloved PC Per. It is awesome to have the support and give aways like this.
oh and as for my worst audio set up.. I had once had a small pair of sony portable speakers modified to take power from a wall socket. Pretty crusty but it did the job i guess lol. no where near as good as the sound my laptop speakers produce lol. also had them in my mates car for a while coz it didnt have a speaker or head unit system lol.
Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PcPer.com and the giveaway. My worst audio rig was a $7.00 boom box on my desk.
Corsair's products are always very good quality.
Thanks much.
Worst audio: trying to play midi tunes from the tiny 1" case speaker, before sound cards were invented.
Wow major changes almost thought I went to the wrong site, nice of Corsair to sponsor.
I had these cheap pairs of headphones I got from the airplane for awhile lol
I would put them in styrofoam cups to sound "cooler".
I haven't tried Corsair's audio equipment yet. If the quality is as good as the rest of their products, this should be great.
Can't think of Corsair without thinking of quality!
The worst setup I've used is the one I'm currently using. A cheap, simple pair of low-end Sony headphones.
Many thanks to Corsair for helping to sponsor the finest tech site on the web.
In the past, any money I've spent at Best Buy was too much.
Thank you very much Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective.
I need to compare this set of headset to my Logitech USB headset and my Grado SR-60's.
Thank you Corsair for the sponsorship of PC Perspective. Worst audio are cheap earplugs that really hurt my ears.
Corsair rocks! Worst audio setup? Has to be these two different sets of Logitech headphones I have to wear to be able to use Ventrillo. Mic on one, one earphone on the other one. I'd love to win this headset. I'd buy it if I could afford it. It's been sitting in my Newegg shopping cart for some time taunting me....
Thank you Corsair. iPod earbuds just plainly suck.
Thanks Corsair, for sponsoring PCPERSPECTIVE, as well as the awesome giveaway! My worst audio configuration was a $5 2 channel speaker which I've used for almost a year. It sounds like a tweeter, and looks like it'll blow any minute. Geez, you've made me remember that one... Hahaha...
thanks, ya, worst is probably a homemade AM radio, maybe tied with the many times swamped system in a 73 cj5 - topless ridge runner and swamp rat runner - bad static, but hey some skynard, cdb and whiskey - it's all good
Thanks Corsair for supporting my favorite Tech website!
Worst sound experience? Continual cut in and out of onboard sound during a house party from my media PC, all because of some dodgy front panel connector on the motherboards pinouts.
Thanks Corsair for sponsoring PC Perspective v4.0! This headset (analog, please) will be so much better than my Fisher-Price record player and dollar store Cort earbuds!*
*May not be completely true.
