Today bigger is better in the eyes of mainstream air cooled heatsinks.  With the heat generated by the Prescott’s, and to a lesser degree, the A64 series, I can certainly understand why.  Overclockers Austraila looks at 5 of the biggest, baddest coolers out there, so pick which one to put in your stocking.
“OCAU looked at five coolers for P4 CPUs, in the “this is getting silly” size range. On test we have Thermaltake’s Silent Tower, Cooler Master’s Hyper 6, Gigabyte’s 3D Rocket, Zalman’s CNPS7000B-Cu and Thermalright’s XP-120. We test and overclock with two CPUs, one Prescott and one Northwood, and also consider the two stock coolers. Most of these coolers can be used on AMD CPUs also, so there’s plenty to read for fans of both brands.”
