The recently rebranded Aspire sent their new As550w-bk PSU to R&B Mods for testing.  With an LED switch to change the colour of the 120mm fan and a blck finish you can have power and style.

If you feel function trumps form, then check out Lee's review of the Thermaltake Toughpower 750W PSU.

"We met Aspire or as they are now known as Apevia at Cebit 2006 and had a nice discussion which led us

into starting to review their products. This is our first Apevia review and as they were kind enough

to send us their 550W power supply for review. They have named is As550W-bk which seems to have some

good specifications such as two 12v rails with 17 and 19 amps each. We will compare this in our

testing vs good performers as Ocz Powerstream and a Zalman PSU."
