:: PC Perspective . Contest

To celebrate our reader and viewers, PC Perspective and This Week in Computer Hardware (TWiCH) are hosting a contest of some pretty impressive proportions! We are giving away a custom-built and painted Smooth Creations gaming rig based around the AMD Dragon platform.

The system includes an AMD Phenom X4 955 processor, Foxconn 790FX motherboard, 4GB of DDR2-1066 memory, a Toppower 1000w power supply, a pair of Western Digital VelociRaptor hard drives and not one but TWO AMD Radeon HD 4890 1GB graphics cards!! And it is all housed in a custom painted Danger Den acrylic chassis:

We are going to make you work to enter, but not too hard! In fact we are going to let you make 19 attempts to win the contest over the course of our four-week contest. Here are the details:

  1. Are you a forum member at the PC Perspective Forums? If so, just make a post in this thread and you are entered one time. If you aren't already a member, sign up and THEN make a post in this thread and you are entered! Only one entry per person for this entry will be counted, though you can of course post as much as you want in that thread or ANY thread. Join the discussion!
  2. Do you follow us on Twitter? If you are a follower of http://twitter.com/ryanshrout, you are automatically entered another time for the system giveaway! If you aren't yet following me, now's your chance to do so and get all of our news and reviews sent out to you first!
  3. If you review our PC Perspective Podcast on iTunes, you get yet another automatic entry into the contest! If you have an iTunes account, all you have to do is follow this link to the iTunes store (or open the iTunes app and search for "PC Perspective")and give your opinion of our podcast and you will have your next attempt at getting this Smooth Creations system completed!
  4. Here's where the weekly fun begins! Every week starting 6/24 on the PC Perspective Podcast, we will give out the URL for a short survey (hosted by Google) that you can fill out and enter yet again for this fantastic system! Every week for the next four episodes we will have a new URL with a new survery for you to enter, so keep listening (and you might as well subscribe) to the podcast!
  5. The next weekly entry option will come from watching This Week in Computer Hardware (TWiCH) every week. TWiCH is a LIVE weekly video show hosted on the TWiT Network with myself and Leo Laporte that you can see on their nearly 24/7 streaming tech site, http://live.twit.tv. TWiCH is seen every Wednesday at 6PM ET/3PM PT. During the show I will give out ANOTHER hidden/unique URL to yet another short survey adding up to another handful of entries you can grab for this Smooth Creations PC!
    1. Week 1 URL: http://pcper.com/twich
  6. Yet another weekly entry option for you on this contest is to watch the video version of our PC Perspective Podcast, available on the PCPer.com podcast page, as there will be a unique URL near the end of the video that will ONLY show up on the video version.
  7. Finally, there will be four more entries available on the PC Perspective main website where we will post another short, fun Q&A survey on the home page. Timing on this survey will be more random, so you just have to keep your eye on the pcper.com home page to make sure you catch it!

That is all there is to it! With those methods you will have 19 total ways to enter the contest and take home this fantastic Smooth Creation custom-built gaming system.

If you have any questions about the contest, hop into this thread of the PCPer Forums (the same entry thread listed above) and we'll try to get them answered.

And just a note - ANYONE can enter this contest, regardless of where you live in the world. We are proud to have a global readership and we wouldn't think of limiting this contest in any way. Good luck!
